The one anime adaption where a western casting would have actually made sense and helped sell the setting and story better. Anyway movie was alright in of itself, not great but not completely awful… Which is a damn shame because FMA is so good, and this movie being mediocre is just painful.

He is just human without super body. Only power of alchemist. There is no super leaping, or super human durability. TS just made it up. TS must make skill into 3 categories. Hard skill, soft skill, and special skill. Alchemic power is categorized as special skill.

I really love this channel, it always show any kind hero characters from DC, Marvel & even Japanese hero from anime to live action. They also show their weakness. As a person who are practicing pop culture witch i agree on your opinion. i mean anime is cool but the problem it's too much and not realistic. This version is much realistic for me as a real witch here. I study peggan witch after i moved in Canada. As a mixed blackasian Filipino, my relatives is albularyo or faith healer (witch doctor) so i kinda related here.

What I don't like from Japanese live action movies is the awkwardness. The interactions between characters are always awkward, too quiet. Specifically for this movie: TOO QUIET, awkward fighting coreographys, the fightings are also too slow. Look at the edward running from the rocks scene, there's almost no effort and tension, it's just like showing off the CGI. I was so excited when I watched the trailer, but couldn't take anymore in first minutes, I stopped watching it. I'm sorry.

I agree on that, but as a person who study pop culture witch & peggan. I also loved this live action because this is kinda realistic & accurate who they portray witch craft. Disclaimer, I'm also a fan of anime. Full metal alchemist had a nostalgic moment for me. But after i study peggan witch. The anime has a good story, but they doing too much. Unlike the live action they give accurate explanation what is alchemist mean. If u study witch craft u know what do I mean🥰✌️
