The problem with older duelists like aspas, tenz, yay, forsaken is that they were good fraggers but not good duelists in a sense that they knew very well how to around their team and get a shit tonne of kills based off of that but now that the game has developed alot the utilities of agents have also been balanced so finding lone impact out of single agent is harder so u have to play around util and not around bodies like older duelists used to. Derke and aspas are the best examples of that where they have adapted their play styles where they still don't hard entry but still do the job good enough if setup properly. And the same reason goes for the failure of tenz, yay, cned etc on duelists. Now the newer generation of duelists like zmjjkk, zekken and miniboo are exactly what you need like they dive in nose first and their team tries their best to set them up and even if they don't convert into direct kills, it surely gives the team the chance to trade and get space and thats what sideshow was also talking about. Aspas is still a very good fragger but I don't think he can change his play style to an extent that zmjjkk has changed. He literally went from a op one trick pony to the hardest entering rifler in an year. And i think in todays meta teams really do need a hard dive like zmjjkk zekken texture miniboo to succeed. Leviathan can win but I don't think they will get over 4-6th place if aspas doesn't adapt. Its easier to shut down star players who aren't dynamic.

funny how kk and miniboo plays duelist with a nose dive approach but kk just does it 100times better

@@blanche42 miniboo is about a year younger and has been pro for about a year less than Kangkang. But he plays on emea which actively scrims against all the other regions except cn while cn is basically isolated. If he's at a comparison at this point it's the best he's gonna get.

Why they thank their old coach instead of muggle
@iiYoshiRAWRii2 ай бұрын
Not sure but this is my guess, prior to masters tokyo, smoggy was actually a substitute for edg and there was another active member on the roster (his ign was life), but that person left so smoggy joined the active roster and then they had no substitute so muggle switched from assistance coach to substitute. But after was always their head coach so maybe while muggle was a substitute, he was more focused on training with the team rather that coaching them? But according to liquidpedia, after is still with edg, he's just inactive. So I'm guessing maybe something happened (family issue, or health, idk) that forced him to become inactive which pushed muggle to become head coach on paper for this VCT? and since they also signed 2 new members (s1mon who replaced haodong, and woodyay1 as their substitude), they had enough substitutes so that muggle can become head coach and haodong becomes assistance coach. But behind the scenes, its possible that it was after that was still coaching them. Please correct me If anyone knows the answer. I'm just mad guessing here. Dont come for me
@xpercade89262 ай бұрын
after had basically been with EDG from the beginning and has been on the team for like 3 years and only left the team after shanghai of this year. muggle has only been on EDG for like 2 months. I think they were just giving him a shoutout since he wasn't there to win the trophy with them despite having been with the team for ages.
