I have Tourette's syndrome, and I went to see the movie. I just wanted to say, Edward Norton did an amazing job of portraying my condition. The way he ticced onscreen was extremely realistic. He got the way the tics look sort of jerky. He got the description of how it feels to tic, how it increases with stress, and beyond that he even went so far as to show the sort of emotional strain it takes in you. Lionel was self deprecating, always apologized for ticcing, and you could tell he almost hated himself for how he would tic stuff out and get in these difficult situations. They showed a very realistic portrayal of how people can give you hate for it, and the emotional strain it puts on you. So Edward, thank you for making this movie and representing us people with Tourette's out there. ♥️

He's a highly acclaimed, very well reviewed, major actor in Hollywood. Yes he's selective in his roles, the same way DiCaprio is, but NO ONE would say he's underrated. The man is a living legend, and his talent was well established since his first film "Primal Fear". Ed Norton isn't some sleeper.

I know this unrelated to the interview, itself, but I love that during the beginning of the interview, you could clearly hear Edward Norton stutter and pause for his thoughts (he was nervous) and I love that as the interview continued, Trevor was able to get him to relax and be comfortable and simply say what he wants to say. Amazing interview, I loved every bit of it.

I noticed it in Trevor's pace slowing down to help level Ed out but u cud still hear Trevor's quick witted mind being abit impatient as Edward is talking cuz you hear Trevor say uh huh like he wants him to pick up the pace a little bit but it's just that Trevor is such a quick thinker and seemingly always on his toes when it comes to being able to handle himself on such a big stage honestly he reminds me of that other POS who's also a quick thinker with a silver tongue mister Obama... but Trevor's on point that's for sure...

Motherless Brooklyn was such a great film. The way the beautiful soundtrack mirrors his frame of mind and tourettes was amazing!! So many beautiful shots that were artsy but with a purpose. This film was a great nod to film noir and detective novels. I had a deep craving for a nice glass of whiskey and cigar throughout the film; such a classy film with spectacular performances by all the cast!

Edward Norton did well with what he had. But it was not a great movie. It was written pretty badly and the director was trying to pull some shit he definitely had no skill doing. It was Norton's intervention (can't believe i'm saying this) that saved the movie. But honestly... its not that good and I just think people like it for the moral lesson and ignore everything else.

I stumbled across the book "Motherless Brooklyn" some years ago and, being a native Brooklynite myself (from the mid-20th century, to be precise), I was curious as to what it was about. I love-love-loved the story, and am so excited that a talented guy like Edward Norton has turned it into a movie. Jonathan Lethem, the author, created a bunch of absolutely wonderful characters. Science is now saying we have a responsibility to understand that what we do truly does affect our children and their children etc. Epigenetics are the pages of your DNA eventually and your children are affected by it Is Autism from War over large periods of time with soooo many wars? @@SongofaBeach2012 Ikr? We've been [comically] nicknamed "America's middle child", so I think that's part of the reason why we're "forgotten", lol. Another reason could be that 30 y/o kids have just "blocked us" from their memories/convos. Staying "relevant" seems to be a worry that I've seen expressed through "sh*t posting jokes". Norton shares a Bday with Christian Slater: 8/18/69. They both just turned 50, & have won Golden Globe Awards. Our generation has proven that it's possible to exceed "relevancy"-to actually be successful at it-AND to look good while doing it. I can only imagine how threatening that might feel to younger gens who view faces through filters & apps. 💗
