Discovered him through his short documentary in 1986 where he speaks on Israel, immediately a fan of his intellectualism and calm demeanor. The interviewer here Bill Moyers is also doing a great job asking questions in a respectful manner, unlike many others in the United States. May Dr. Said rest in peace

رغم إن المقابلة قديمة نوعا ما لكن التشخيص قائم وبه ما يجمع العرب اكثر مما يفرقهم نحتاج الي مفكرين عرب لهم رؤي نابعة من الواقع التاريخي والمعاش ما يقرب هذه الأمة لتعرف علي حقيقتها الغائبة عن كثير من شعوب العالم.

A great intellectual. Tried to impress upon his viewers some aspects of Arab history and culture not appreciated or understood in the Western World..Met with him once in Amman Jordan. A great loss to humanity…he Rest In Peace
