This scene is very therapeutic. Not just for me but for anyone watching it but also for the character of McCall himself. The song , the scene , and Woodard singing, It’s really represented that Mccall was or slowly Finding inner peace within himself. You can tell in the last season that he was more laid-back. So I think this episode really showcase that. When he told the girl that music is good for the soul, they didn’t just put that in the script for nothing. You can tell that that line he said was a payoff for the ending of this episode. Music is truly good and can heal the soul. Scene always brings tears to the eyes of happiness ,relief , and comfort.

Great actor and singer. He is sorely missed but his performances will live forever. The Equalizer was a fantastic espionage thriller series. I don't like the modern movie remakes.

Inded he was, I grew up watching him in Callan, brilliant gritty spy series for the times. However, his part as the Ghost of Christmas present in the George C Scott version of a Christmas Carol is superb. PS Great save by Montgomery made even better as it was against Revie's Leeds:)

i was young when this episode aired i often thought that he robert mccall knew the artist that was killed and he was like a fan. and he was too late to save her. he was able to saved the girl who had called her. but not the artist whom he admired. i need to see this episode again so i can understand it more.

@foreigntongue25 This song is not credited in the episode, but EW is reprising it from being earlier featured with the female vocalist. Stewart Copeland had stepped down by Series 4, and Cameron Allan took the music reins, so maybe he did the songs too. If you want a clean version with the female vocalist, it features over the opening sequence of the episode.
