Jock of the bushveld was my favourite book to read as a child, many fond memories. Thank you Edward for another amazing episode, they just keep getting better and better. The footage that you take of the wildlife is incredible and it makes one feel as if we are right there sitting next to you appreciating these moments. Wildlife sightings, African bush knowledge, landscape, cooking tips, the best chilled out music that is spot on each time, passion, great company and entertainment (Chris) and so much more...what more could one ask for. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Leg of lamb, our family favorite. Yours looks wonderful, wish I could have been there to help you and Chris eat it. My latest trip has been postponed for a second year, but hopefully I will return to S.A. and Namibia in 2022 for another visit to paradise on Earth. Wonderful series young man, I enjoyed very much. There is nothing better than the African Bush. Cheers from Oregon, USA.

Next level Ed! Your video skills just keep on improving especially the wildlife work. Lots of memories in this one - Jock of the Bushvelds' (got the book and the t-shirt) birthplace, Ship mountain, Berg En Dal restcamp and the pool, happy days! Still have my No.1 potje at my escape in the mountains of Catalunya and use it regularly. I must admit that the leg of lamb is my favourite - did you ever try a whole chicken in Coca-Cola? OK but a bit sweet for me. Keep up the good work.

Hi Ed, excellent video. How far is that Jock of the bushveld stone plaque from the afsaal picknick site. Is it possible to reach it with a normal sedan car?

Hi Andre! It depends on the time of year, in the wet season definitely not but I’m sure in the dry season it’s all good!

This is excellent. You are developing your own signature filming and editing style which I find impressive. I have explored around Berg en Dahl, fantastic scenic vistas. I too can't wait to get back to Kruger. It is another world, how it was 100,000 years ago. Africa is the homeland of the entire human race, black, white, Asian, Indian, we all started here. Perhaps this is why the African wilderness resonates with everyone.

Edward if you were forced to take only one coffee maker on an overlanding trip, would it be the Aeropress, Stanley press or French press?
@EdwardBath3 жыл бұрын
Aeropress for sure Sean!
@seanfrench10293 жыл бұрын
@@EdwardBath Thought so and, it makes sense. The AP GO is cute but too small except for hiking but for overlanding the standard one is the way to go.

Hi ed, Im planing to take this route you took, with some off-road but not too rough for my family and I of three. We will be driving in with a rental Fortuner, any suggestions you might have for me? obviously, we will be delighted to see some cheetah along the way. We will stay at the Mdluli safari lodge the day before, and head towards Pretoriuskop and then down south towards berg en dal then exit the Park from Malelane gate and off towards Nelspruit to meet my friends there. Please share your route with me and please provide me brief idea of what to expect in terms of games and what should I be aware of driving the off-road tracks. I will be coming in during late January, which I believe will be quite wet. Much appreciated and keep up the lekker channel! Cheers

Yoh Ed, loved this one a lot! What are your thoughts on the Berg en Dal campsite? I’ve stayed in the chalets there a few times and the impression I got was that the place is not run well at all. Is the same to be said about the campsite? Never camped there so just curious. Awesome vid mate!
@EdwardBath3 жыл бұрын
Thanks bud! I didn’t chat about Berg en Dal because it was awful! Worst campsite in the Kruger, only 4 toilets and showers catering to over 50 campsites. At 4:30 in the morning I was standing in a queue waiting for a shower so I didn’t wanna end the episode off like that 😂😂

Interesting about Berg en dal. Weve stay in the chalets a few times with no issues but family who've been there recently also complained about the cleanliness. We've stayed many time in the other Kruger camps and have had no issues what so ever.
@edwildlife28963 жыл бұрын
@@MayurPatelZA yeah as a general rule, Kruger accommodation is always clean and well run, seems Berg en Dal needs a bit is a management makeover! If that can happen then it would surely be one of the best camps in the Kruger since it is in such a beautiful area and the bird and animals life is fantastic.
