Our time around Kruger National Park has been perfect... nearly.
There are only a couple of final animals that have eluded us over the last two trips: the big cats of Africa. Lions and cheetahs are not common sightings in these regions, and we can't help but want to see these majestic beasts in person.
Sometimes the best thing in life is a change, and we are about to find out if that also applies here.

You guys were so close to the jackpot for lions, leopards and other predators. You just had to continue South in the Kruger. Don't ask a Swede, ask a local.🙂 We love the Kalahari too, but density in the Southern Kruger can't be matched.

This season has been great so far! The last African season was so stressful in a kind of way, it felt like y'all were so focused on reaching destinations and feeling stressed out that y'all were behind schedule. It feel like y'all were just swimming against the current. But this season man Y'all finally letting go and letting the current take you. I can finally see y'all relaaaxed man and as a fellow overlander thats important and that makes me happy. I've been racing the clock from destination to destination before and it removes the quality that you seek in an overlanding trip. It just feels like scrolling reels on instagram while a relaxed overlanding trip without giving a sh*t about the clock feels like watching a nice movie after haaard day. Anyway, keep up the good work. I love watching your videos they are really inspiring. If you ever plan on coming back to my homeland Sweden, please decide to take the north western route slong the mountsin range through the wilderness road -> kvikkjokk -> Ritsem -> Abisko. There are so many hidden Gems in those areas. Its the only place in Europe that looks like Alaska.

Really guys, your rock! The previous video and this one also touched me right into my heart. I am a Dutch 52-year-old entrepreneur (and overlander), and the topics that you touch are exactly the things that concern me. 3 years ago we sold our company, on to the next phase you would think. Troy, I know what you're going through man... And then the black hole came for me, where you don't know how to fill it in anymore. For someone who always got everything done, had solutions for everything, and who never stopped, this is pretty frustrating. The 4 life meters have been beautifully named by you, and also confrontational because there are a number of failing grades now. But men, how I would love to sit by your campfires in the evening. I'm sure a lot of men in our age group feel the need for these kinds of conversations, you name exactly what it's all about. And the combination with joint adventures is magic! Keep up the good work, a lot of greetings from Austria.

There’s lots of lions in the Kruger National Park. The key is to drive a lot (especially early in the morning and late afternoon as it is when they are most active). Stop at every rest camp to see the “spotted” sign board or use the Kruger Park’s smartphone app. Also stop and talk to other park visitors (not just 1x Swedish guy) and ask them where they have seen what interesting animals. It’s great to see another part of Southern Africa, but I think you’ve wasted quite a few days with the extra driving and your limited time schedule. Enjoying your videos. Keep them coming. From a South African

Sorry, Mabuasehube in the Botswana side of the Kgalagadi is the best. Close up ( in camp ) encounters are almost guaranteed. If you search KZbin for lions in camp you’ll see what I mean. It’s difficult to get there, so maybe only 100 people at any one time, so quiet and peaceful as well.

Wild, raw and it has everything. Protected ocean, beaches, wild life, special nature reserves for hundreds of kilometers/mile, turtles nesting, dolphins, whales, 4x4 trails, sand dunes, forests. Big 5. Everything and more. ;) - Watching from South Africa

The best trip in the region is the CKGR. Run it South to North and enjoy the peace. Book your stays from the Botswana government office in Gabarone or I believe you can still go to Bigfoot Tours also in Gabarone. Each entity controls roughly 50% of the campsites each. Don't forget to bring seed nets for your radiators, extra water and fuel. Our last trip a few years ago during COVID we spent 7 days two tracking through the CKGR without seeing another person other than stopping at a Ranger camp for an hour. It's by far our favorite place on the planet!

The first Africa season was amazing. Unfortunately the 2nd one is a huge disappoitment. Not much nature, rather a lot of talking. Stories, drama, nothing to do with the topic. Camera work is amazing as always, but there is not much real Africa content unfortunately. Music is sometimes extremely annoying. Mall elevator mainstream crap, many times false singing. This type of music has nothing to do with quality content or the feeling of Afrca. :-(
