Can you help me confirm this on the Max Smasher..... The original shipment of these trucks had a different radio and esc. The original radio had the rotary dials and the 4 white switches, one of them which would change the profile of the esc for 100% drag brake for crawling. The newest version, like the one on this video, has a different radio and esc. I can't find any of the original releases and email FMS and this was part of their response, "Also, The 1/24 Smasher RTR added the drag braking function on the ESC of the car, and it can stop without drag braking on steep slopes below 45 degrees, and it can be realized without the transmitter." Can you confirm this feature/capability for me with the new remote?

I have two of these coming, but also received a FREE 1/18 scale Fire Horse from FMS as well. I assume the lipo that came with the Fire Horse will be the same as the Max Smashers. I want to use my Hota D6+ charger but have a few questions. If I would use the usb charger that came with the Fire Horse, I only plug the balance plug into the USB charger. If I want use my Hota D6+ charger (I would have to by a female JST DS/micro Losi connector and solder it to a female xt60), I would be plugging the lipo's male JST DS/micro Losi connector and balance plug into my charger right? It just seems odd that if using the USB charger its charging through the balance plug. I want to use my better charger if I can to hopefully charger safer with more control. Am I missing something?
@EdwardChew2 жыл бұрын
You are right bro Yes it's probably safer to charge with a better charger cause those USB charger could have different batch/supplies but i trust FMS quality and I've not seen any bad things happened with those usb charger even the non FMS ones.

This is about a purchase from FairRC: Can’t leave a review on FairRC website. Not surprising given recent issues with the company. I’ve purchased over 17 Rochobby/easy RC/ FMS products. Most have been excellent. Purchased 3 of the Fcx24 . At first it was so great. Then one started acting crazy. Then driveshafts popped out. And another won’t go in reverse. Purchased a max smasher. Won’t shift into second or go in reverse. Customer service and quality control has taken a major turn for the worse. After many many emails they sent me a FedEx label for the max smasher. Nothing for the FCX24. Dropped it off at FedEx. FairRC say they didn’t receive and tracking isn’t updating. Took 4 days of asking them if they received to even get a response. FedEx asked why I didn’t come to them earlier and they don’t see it there. So I’m out of luck. And already purchased about $100 in options for it. These are so tempting - but I’m done with this company.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Get from the official store to get taken care of www.fmshobby.com/products/fms-1-24-fcx24-max-smasher-rtr?ref=a9YWP_lM4SMsxT Fairrc ship from china right? it's not a good idea to ship it back to China because it will definitely be taxed. and fxdex suck!

The controller looks very different from what other reviewers have. For instance the red/white switch board is not present on yours. Yours also has buttons for trim while the others are wheel based.

I just got my second truck and it came with the one he's showing, I'm a little disappointed. The one with the dip switches for drag breaks, battery sellection and motor break also has truck battery telemetry and dedicated light switch and hard plastic wheel with a sticker by the trigger that has V3 for version 3. I don't like the fact that the other version has less buttons and a foam covered wheel. I haven't used the other version yet.

This may be a great review, but editing out that fraction of a second when you take a breath makes this video very unpleasant (stressful)to listen to. Kinda makes me want to stop breathing 🙈. Just an honest feedback, not trying to be hateful or anything.

Sorry :-( but it's about retention on youtube's algorithm game. if audience find the video slow, they click fast forward, or simply stop watching, youtube will not promote it. for this video, even at 12min, i find it too long-winded.

U guys enjoy video where the presenter talk slower?
@matusknives2 жыл бұрын
@@EdwardChew I understsnd. Indeed, attention span of viewers has gone down a lot since the invention of the internet. Itbid really not about the speed itself, every person has a different tempo that is natural to them. But if they try to talk faster then that it becomes noticeable. Taking out the natural tiny pauses (which everyone does in their own way) puts more strain on the viewer - at least that is my personal impression.

@@EdwardChew To give you a honest feedback I just watched the whole video. Let me start with saying - it is very informative and I found it helpful to learn more about the truck. Thank you. Also let me say right away - I don't have a problem with your taking tempo at all. It is not slow, but it sounds like you natural way to talk and it is just perfectly fine. I only meant the cutting out the sub-second long pauses. Let me call this 'pacing' (I really don't know what the proper term is). I assume that this was done with a help of some software as it would be a lot of work to do by hand. Listening to the whole video - this 'pacing' was most pronounced in the first few minutes, later in the video it basically disappeared. There were two cases of 'pacing'. One ís when you connect short video snippets. I found this less of an issue. I only found it a little disturbing when the pauses were cut out from a longer continues single video/sound stream. This breaks down the continuity of the spoken word. This techninque is not by definition 'wrong' - it can help (e.G. in an introduction) to make a video more 'catchy' when used with a more 'active' way of speaking and is not used for too long. At least that is how I feel about it. I guess I went a bit too 'far' with all this, but I appreciate you were open to discuss it. And yes, I am aware that very most of your viewers probably won't notice (or care) quite as much about this. I guess I am getting old and pick 😋
