Craftsmanship was excellent the blade would be very sharp. The blade is everlasting and hard but brittle too since it was hardened saw blade it was again hardened. So while using it on large bones extream care need to take or else it will break.

Hello. Since the steel is thin, I would not recommend making descents before quenching, as the steel can twist 🙂

@@edwardknives8692 Thank you..❗ That answers why in 80's when buying Blade Steel on thikness annealed then ginding and sending in for hardening and tempering often came back warped..⁉️🤔 The only problem i found working on a deceased Knifemakers Blank which i finished off with Handles in Stone Carved 3 Dimensionaly myself "Buffalo" was that the Edge had a "Burn" blemish on edge which a couldn't Polish away after endless attempts i Pearled/ Jeweled the entire Blade similair to the Bolts on Rifles, it was done for a Collector, which i did a Yellowood Stump Case with Knife inlet, lined with Felt & a Glass Lid & handmade Stainless Steel hinges, the front of the Case (Stump/log) was retained with it's Aging & weathered marks whilst all other sides were cut & plained true' etc..(1991) Was a fun project which i did for my Old Boss, retired Senior Partner of an Arch' Practice..❗🙇‍♂️ Shalowm ❗🙏🏻

молодец! по латуни можно было бы еще набить простым бойком как бы чешую и чуть дать патины..., - очень красиво смотрится!

Зачем было отжигать :потом калить и " отпускать. Сталь там замечательная - лучше не сделать а просверлить можно победитом. ; а у ручки болгаркой можно выбрать хоть зачисным хоть лепестковым. Мутетень по русски.

A knife made from a saw blade may last a long time after sharpening, but may be brittle after quenching. And it’s too laborious to sharpen. It is not as strong and easy to sharpen as the knife using Forge welding.
