A good friend of mind is currently an officer and doesn't trust any white counterparts. He plays chess (has made strategic moves within the force) and has risen through the ranks. That being said, he's not naive for one second. He personally hears and witnesses the racism in the force. Periodically, when we speak, I can sense the strain and tension he goes through. The history (slave patrols) of policing will always cause distrust of police. The only way to counteract this is through effective community policing.

Sasha Plants, anti-blackness is a worldwide issue in countries where blacks are a minority. So what nations are u talking about where blackness is seen in a positive light?
@mrgose1008 жыл бұрын
I appreciate this man's efforts because I believe he has good intentions. Unfortunately, he is suffering from cognitive dissonance. He is fully aware of the history of police/slave patrol yet he believes he can some how change racist policies and still be a police officer. The problem is not the the policies, the problem is the police force. Nothing has changed, the modern police are still conducting their normal duties as slave patrol officers. People should question the whole system and stop trying to address symptoms and not the cause.
@mrgose1008 жыл бұрын
No, he is passively challenging the system. Challenging the system would be to question why do we still need police officers. If slavery is abolished, why do we still need slave patrol? The reason is because the people at the top still view the society as slaves, not just black people. People need to awaken to see that the system has never changed. They just brainwashed the population into believing that the government and police are there to protect us. The truth is that the government and police are put into place to serve and protect the interest of the ruling class.
