This is super helpful. I just got a Lowrance Hook 7. I had an older unit that just had worn itself out and finally died. This is good education for my unit as well. Thanks E. Please make Hartwell a stop on your channel this year.

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I was struggling with the learning curve going from Hummingbird first generation 898 to Lowrance HDS live units that came with the boat. At first I was lost, hell it took awhile to realize the unit was in simulator mode. Yeah there's a user manual that covers the basics but watching a video is so much better and detailed. So I'm super excited about my Lowrance units now. With all this new technology once learned might even consider fishing a tournament or two again. Back in the day if you knew how to use a flasher you had a advantage over the other guys. Today if you don't have the latest technology and know how to use it you are at a disadvantage. Thanks for for making these how to videos.

I have an HDS9 on my console and an HDS7 on the front. How do I get the 7 up front to use the side imaging off the 9 and the down imaging off the trolling motor without having to keep changing sources manually?

When you setup your left and right console SI views with the sonar and DI showing as well, why not turn off the water column on the SI views. It’s basically redundant info to your DI and sonar views. Does Lowrance have the capability to turn off the water column?

Great video! I just installed a HDS Live 12 at my console and a HDS live 9 to my bow with Live target (waiting on my live target back order). Any way you guys mentioned sonic hub. What is the main function of the sonic hub? Also is that what ships with the Live Target? Thank you!

Evening Edwin my question is will a lot of the information you shared will it work on the TI 2units? I finally get the opportunity to upgrade my sonars to the TI’s and then Lowrance comes out with the FS version and active target and my units are now obsolete. I hope Lowrance won’t forget about all of us that have the TI units. I’m a bank beater and am trying to learn these new toys but having trouble understanding all its features. Plz pass this along to Jacob for me. On a again your videos are top notch!!!!!!! Thx for your time.
