I had the good fortune to attend a talk with Dominic last week - if you get a chance to attend one I can recommend it. It's changed my life.

My summary: That inner connection that leads to action, this is the important thing. Lending my nervous system to help find other ways, other ways that help find actions to be tried, actions that can change the way relationships are shaped. Action... to implement changes... This is just a piece of it... but the piece I would like to remember. And I imagine Dominic has a strong sense of putting his intelligence into trying to find ideas that can help. Imagination can be a point of view changer. These are words, but I can feel that for Dominic it is a way of life. (In fact it is a good thing that I leave these comments, because it made me come here again, just to see what I previously wrote [as astonishing carpet].)

I have also seen people use NVC in disconnecting ways... the classic "that's not very NVC of you" judgment. What is essential is the intention: to connect through empathic presence (which is an embodied experience of dissolving boundaries). I find the term 'empathic presence' a useful way of distinguish the quality of empathy that I think Dom is talking about.

I found this concept of removing the blocks that block action very... important. The importance to try to reach such quality of connection was kind of a revelation to me,... Something became conscious, that I already tried to achieve, but not that consiously... "Bon sang, mais c'est bien sûr" The way it is explained here was an enlightning experience. I almost cried. Words like these may be the builing blocks for new ways to live together. What is at the heart of change? CollectiveIntelligence?

I knew Dominic in Campinas City São Paulo, where he did a course about restorative circles, a very good course. I learned much how to understand the situation we are in. Great Dominic. Jose Carlos Guireli

Think I need to understand what he means specifically when uses the words 'does not exclude' in that description of Empathy - Bit difficult to contextualise
