Before I answer it, there are a few questions. Firstly, why is such a big DC motor required? It would be quite expensive if available. Secondly, why do you need a generator to run this motor?

Whenever you want to make a new thing, you have to give consideration to its cost, it's size, it's efficiency, etc. Now coming to the design of a DC motor driven tractor: it's not viable. Because, to drive motor, you will need a generator, and to run generator you will need a diesel engine. This will increase the cost, size and will reduce the efficiency.
