Bhai excitation rotate karane ke liye nai karte uske liye prime mover hota hai such as diesel engine or similar, excitation islie karate hain so that small DC current ki help se usko magnet bana sake so that usme magnetic field bane and further magnetic lines of forces i.e. flux and jese hi rotate hoga toh magnetic flux change hoga and EMF induce hoga in stator winding(according to Faradays Law).

11:40 agar thyristor se hi dc mil raha hai toh us dc se direct operation q nhi kr rhe usko 3@ ac me convert kr k fir silicon diode se dc kr k excite q kr rhe hai. Plz answer.

Waha par mai AC ko DC bol diya hu, Thyristors ke output pe hame AC hi milega then uske bad usko diode laga ke DC banayege.

Sir I am working on the Alternator which is 115 V in each 3 phase. But set is giving 9 v more. After adjusting from POTMeter Voltage is ok. Rating of set is 40 KVA. Can I replace POTMeter with new to rectify the problem

Ananth Kumar " In synchronous machine, If u will not giving Excitation on the rotor then flux will not produce in field winding on the rotor and if flux will not produce then output on the armature winding will not produce"

@@eeideashello sir... but you are telling in this video without excitation rotor can't rotate it's totally wrong. Rotor rotates by prime mover not through excitation.

yes wrong concept. rotor is rotated by turbine not by excitation system.

If we use AC current, then it will change the pole of the rotor continuously. But we need fixed pole in the rotor. That's why we use DC as it has no frequency.

Fuxed polarity banane ke liye DC ka use karte h, if just suppose that ki ham log DC ke jagah AC dete h to polarity jo h wo alternate change hoga, but hame fixed polarity chahiye isliye hamlog dc dete h.

Bro concept clear kar k aya karain...rotor rotation does not depend on excitation and as for as I think rating of alternator is in MVA not In MW so please be careful by the way keep up the nice work

na bhai...excitation trko krni pdhegi ..rotor winding par tbhi tere rotor m polarity aayegi ,north or south ki...or synchronous motor ka principle magnetic attraction hota h...toh stator winding or rotor winding ,dono ki polarity aapas m interlocking krte h ..or jis speed se stator ghoomta h ...use speed se rotor ghoomega

If you brushed exciter it gives more sparkling losses for high ranges...so for high ranges brush less is preferable

*nope bro i m using 5kva inducted brushless alternator...in this video u said brushless alternator used for high capacity genearation like 5000MW...but its wrong brushless alternator are available from 2.5kva ...its category of alternators it's your choice ..to buy anyone*

Thyristors ka use basically hamlog controlling and switching ke liye karte h jaise, motor speed controls, light dimmers, pressure-control systems.
