Eemia: Ice World I Meow Wolf - Convergence Station

Encapsulated in ice is Eemia, one of the four converged worlds inside Meow Wolf’s Convergence Station immersive art exhibition in Denver. The vibrant Kaleidogothic Cathedral - complete with a working pipe organ and rotating dome - stands as a testament to Kaleidogoth culture before their planet entered a thousand year ice age. It’s also a testament to the artistic and engineering achievements of Meow Wolf as the first massive project they took on when scaling up to create their Denver exhibition. I don't know if I'll ever manage to get to meow wolf Denver/ convergence station, but seeing this is stoking the fire to make me want to visit Santa Fe, which is much closer to me & a place I have visited more than once before. Obvs the experience will be different, and I would love to see this cathedral in person, though.

So incredibly cool and inspiring it's outrageous. As a (*student) video game developer obsessed with writing stories and worldbuilding, I'd give ANYTHING to be able to work on crazy worlds and fantastic narratives like this with Meow Wolf someday! For now though, thank you guys for putting so much work and passion into creating these incredible spaces and amazing stories for us to explore, and know you're inspiring an entire generation of creatives to do the same. Entering this room on one of the opening days for Convergence Station was magical. It actually took my breath away seeing how beautiful it was and it's easily one of my favorite rooms in the whole complex. Thank you for making these wonderful experiences. As an artist, it gives me so much joy to see these near supernatural places come to life, especially here in Denver.

I've lived behind the moon as I never heard of Meow Wolf until we went on a Denver trip and the Hotel concierge told us about it. I was intrigued and went. After 2.5 hours my husband was done. I however wasn't even close to being finished exploring, taking in the amazing, sights and sounds. I have never seen or experienced anything like it. As an artist myself this spoke to me on so many levels. I just can't get enough of it. The next day our flight was leaving at 2:45 PM to go home. I was at Meow Wolf again at 9:55 AM to take every minute once they open at 10:00 AM until the last second I could. I want to go back. I want to spend an entire day I loved it that much and there is so much to see and discover. This was only two weeks ago. Now I am reading everything I can about Meow Wolf. Inhale every video footage. I'm hooked. Epic.

Until we as a species can actually access and share or travel via space time portals or wormholes, this is about as close as any ordinary non interspace travelling human being currently existing on this planet can get. And probably MUCH prettier, more rum as well as far safer and more comfortable than traveling to or being aboard the international space station, our own Moon or the proposed Martian colony will be for a LONG TIME.

I love how convergence has its own lore. When I came I bought the books and I fell even more in love with Eemia. The cathedral is beautiful and seeing how everything works is really amazing. 🩷
