Nothing more masculine than an accomplished man telling his best friend he loves him sincerely. Just touching. The bond they share is rare these days. Men have fewer friends than ever.

I think, in general, covid made an impact on how we communicate especially for people in countries that were in lock down for long periods of time. We had to adapt to getting things done in both our personal and professional life. A certain percentage of people found that they preferred to work from home, home schooling their children, getting groceries and just about anything else for that matter delivered, having more family time etc. The other reason could just be that life goes by fast and we have to use our time wisely. I could be completely wrong but your comment made me think about why this is happening. 😊

Go to another doctor, doctor shopping is there for a reason. I went though about a dozen gastroenterologists over a decade for my digestion problems, some of them were dismissive, some unqualified, some helped only with one aspect or were mistaken, and said that improvement I've had was enough. etc. Hernia is urgent matter for any normal doctor
@kristajones72022 ай бұрын
That's a wild excuse to not perform a surgery on someone who needs it. I had a fairly minor umbilical hernia as a kid that resolved itself. I think that happened around 4 years old. I've carried two pregnancies past term, and my hernia never returned. I'd think the chances of everything being fine would be higher with surgery. If not, just redo the surgery if needed. Also, can doctors stop seeing our bodies as incubators?

I just watched the most recent episodes of Botched last night and there was a woman with a similar problem. The part that fascinated me was they were able to give her a bone conduction implant to allow her to hear. I wonder if it would work in Charlie's case and how many people could be helped with that.
@tinahickman63009 ай бұрын
A bone conduction implant is an internal and external surgery. The internal device is implanted so the inner ear bone vibrations can conduct sound to the device that's implanted on the outside. From what I understand about Goldenhar syndrome, the inner ear components are missing or malformed as well so Charlie probably doesn't have the structures needed to allow that implant to work. Goldenhar syndrome affects the formations of the ear, eye, and spine and usually just affects one side of the body.
