You can’t expect everyone who jumps online to race cleanly or race 100% to the rules in a fairly open lobby environment. People are there to have kicks and giggles most of them will be not to achieve the life goals

@@f1ology all it takes is for this to be resolved is the coding to pick up Fanatec_ue cut the corner and give them the .5 sec penalty. In my experience on that daily people were cutting it but was a 50/50 whether the game "decided" to call the penalty. why are you so salty? it must be absolutely nightmarish being like that. and no one likes dirty drivers in the real or in simulations thats just a fact. no one in rory's shoes would've been super happy to have that happen to them. and when was a 1st place finish EVER given because someone was leading for a majority of the race and didn't cross the finish line first. Look into therapy and "projecting"

I hate the penalty system and dirty drivers it is why I hardly ever play against other players. I barely go off track and get a .5-1 sec penalty, this clown can cut the final chicane and all is well? WTF!

Managed to avoid getting a pen for cutting the chicane by bouncing off you going into the corner, PD on some tracks don’t give a penalty if you go off track after contact - don’t know if he knew this and it was deliberate or he was lucky to get away with it…

How that driver did not pick up a penalty for blatantly cutting that final chicane I'll never know. I gave up online racing about a year ago. It's just full of people with no race talent who have to rely on blatantly cynical moves or simply ramming people off. How some of these people have S ratings is beyond me.

Bump drafting is illegal in all forms of Motorsport - even the US where it first started in NASCAR I think it was. I’ve long since stopped playing multiplayer racers as all of them no matter what game has no effective, fair, fit for purpose Penalty system and it makes me laugh with all the furor that the system in GT creates that they allow an illegal activity

I don't think you understand. In races like this with extremely long continuous straights, if you overtake, you'll just get caught by other drivers slipstreaming you to gain speed and then overtaking you back, so it's pointless. The bumping is to make the car in front go faster, so you can slipstream and go faster yourself, in the hope that it eventually leads to a break in the line of cars, the gap to the car behind being big enough that they can't slipstream you and catch you - as eventually happened in the last lap of this race.

Incorrect. Rory is a strong driver who races hard but doesn't cross that line into dirty driving - as so many people on GT7 do. He takes it to the limit, but not beyond. So many talentless wretches on GT7 make up for that lack of talent by pushing, barging, and ramming, to get ahead - simply because they haven't the talent to do it properly. If they raced like that in real life, they'd get black flagged - instantly. If Rory had been more aggressive as you suggest, then he'd have to venture into this pushing/barging/ramming territory, and by remarking that he wasn't being aggressive enough, effectively going into the pushing'/barging/ramming territory, then I suspect you may belong to this group that somehow think all that is okay.

In general I wouldn’t call them “Dirty” did they cheat? Yes! Did they cut the corner? Yes, did the game allow it? Yes but is it Dirty? The way I see that, no because end of the day it’s last lap, last corner they took a risk and paid off for them. Do that in real life definitely a penalty of course but in a game it’s just borderline opportunistic behaviour

@@rahul_mukesh Context is key here. Given it’s an open lobby and a 5-lap race, it’s more about kicks and giggles than serious, clean racing. Sure, cutting the corner isn’t ideal, but in this kind of setting, it’s just part of the chaos that comes with short, casual races. It’s definitely not something you’d see in proper league racing, and in real life, it’d obviously be penalised, but here it’s more about opportunism than outright dirty driving. If you look at the entire race, there’s no real tactic to win in a race like that, I don’t think. Sure, what Rory did was clever to a certain point of view, but from another perspective, you could argue that being second all the way to the finish line and timing the final few corners would’ve been a better strategy. Just look at how potent that slipstream was-it’s ridiculous, never seen anything like it outside of a NASCAR race! I don’t think the was though much wrong the Portuguese driver did because they was at front if not leading majority of that race and besides that one controversial moment they drove a really good race actually if you watch the whole video. So for that reason you can’t complain to much

So yeah, it's dirty driving no matter which way you cut it. I don't understand why you're defending them unless it's you that was the driver.
