***** Not if we are talking about computers, go ahead and set your monitor at 50Hz and tell me how it feels. For the AC power lines sure some countries use 50Hz, but I can almost guarantee you that every computer and smartphone screen runs at at least 60Hz.
@TheChipmunk200810 жыл бұрын
Gordon Freeman My monitor personally is at 72Hz... but I'm just acutely aware of the problem 60fps causes for some european tv sets ;) Personally anything at or above 25fps is fine for me tho (being on a computer with an LCD monitor)
@GoldSrc_10 жыл бұрын
***** Oh yes, for TV broadcasts 50Hz may be fine, but Internet content is different. Try setting your monitor at 50Hz, and it would annoy you xD, even moving windows looks horrible at 50Hz .

Gordon Freeman It makes hardly any difference. 50fps is still a huge improvement over 25fps. Anyway, I can't stick with all 60fps, my Canon can only do 50fps, and the 60fps Sony is not well suited to the close up regular blog stuff.

My guess would be that 'Holland' means the Netherlands, as the original Philips is not located in the Holland part of the Netherlands. In my personal experience , a lot of Dutch people call the Netherlands 'Holland' too when they speak English, they don't see it as a mistake anymore, but just as an oddness of the English language. In Dutch however, it is less common to call the whole country 'Holland'.

***** In many cases analog meters are better than DMM's for testing components if they have the X10 Ohms with the 9 volt battery in them giving them 12 volts. A diode for instance, may check good with a DMM, but fail with an VOM because it's breaking down under voltage.

It's not the metal housed transistors that are light sensitive - it is the OC transistor where you can scrape off the laquer at the end tip and turn it into a photo transistor. Cybeonix Is it supposed to hurt my feelings or something? ( I'm a Christian) Maybe he believes he came from an ape? lol BTW, all of the icons of evolution have been debunked...
@Cybeonix10 жыл бұрын
Robert Calk Jr. First of all, if it hurts your feelings, your faith can't be that strong. Otherwise it shouldn't mean a damn thing what other people say. Secondly, yes, we came from a common ape ancestor whether that makes you feel bad or otherwise. And third, I don't know of a single thing that debunks evolution. It has been independently verified by many areas of discovery from archaeology to genetic research. Running around claiming that something has been debunked does not make it so. I'm sure that Dave appreciates all of his viewers, but I know for a fact he has as much tolerance as I do for religious nonsense.
@robertcalkjr.832510 жыл бұрын
Cybeonix Everything has been debunked; Haeckel's embryos, Miller-Urey Experiment, Darwin's Tree of Life, Archaeopteryx, Peppered Moths, Darwin's Finches, and everything else those lying demons proclaim. It's not my fault you believe text books and don't do any real study... And I asked a question - I didn't make a statement that my feelings were hurt because they are not.You should start with some reading comprehension. Just because Dave knows electronics doesn't make him the worlds authority on the existence of God. Personally, I think atheists are either liars or the most ignorant people on earth besides Satanists, but I don't come on here and laugh at him and make stupid remarks about it. I can't stand most of the idiots that "claim" to believe in God either, but that doesn't mean all Christians are idiots. Anyway, the 2 witnesses of God will be here soon, and then you will no longer have an excuse to be atheists or anything other than Christians. Revelation 11 explains what they will do and how you will know who they are. And don't believe the stupid "Left Behind" movies. They are a joke just like most "so called" Christians.
@andrei-lucianserb177110 жыл бұрын
Robert Calk Jr. James 4:6 "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." I'm a Christian, but I never found anything wrong about evolution. What's wrong with coming from an ape? The Bible never said we didn't came from apes. And the Bible is a spiritual book not a history or science book. This has always been an ego thing. Just like people believed they are the center of the universe and everything revolved around them. You can't really think you came from dust. A God that created man from dust in a magical way, is less powerful than a God that set in motion an automated system that in the end produced everything that you see, starting from the Big Bang. It is our duty as human beings to discover what this wonderful universe is like, how it was made, and how it functions, and I think it should be considered a sin to spread lies about something simply because it makes humans seem a little less important in the whole scheme of things. Plus, even the Pope recognized that the Big Bang is true, and that it doesn't collide with the teachings of the Bible. And you can't point me to the Book of Genesis, because as I said earlier, the Bible is defiantly NOT a science book (thinking that all of the science of the universe fits in a moderately sized book is a very ridiculous thing to believe), and second, the Bible was written for all the people, even the ones thousands of years ago, who didn't have any scientific knowledge at all, so of course it doesn't say anything about the Big Bang, or evolution. It is our own duty as humans to discover the world, and to gain knowledge. And all the Christians that I know, know the Big Bang and evolution are true, because they are proven scientifically to be. The only "Christians" that don't believe are the ones that are extremists, or that have low education. And think about it. The churches have admitted they were wrong many times. Remember how the Earth was flat, in the center of the universe and surrounded by spheres, and how the Sun orbited the Earth. Yeah, those were all things the churches of the time said were true, and whoever didn't believe that, was considered a sinner. And they were proven wrong, and they admitted it. God wants science and smart people, not blind followers of churches. Churches are run by people, and people can be corrupt. Never put your entire faith in priests. Remember, the ones that shouted for Christ to be crucified were priests. Not saying that all priests are corrupt, but there are certainly many that are, and that are money hungry. So please stop being so egotistical, and admit that your ego is the only thing keeping you from believing in evolution or the big bang. Don't admit to me, or to the internet. Admit it to yourself, and correct yourself. There is nothing wrong with evolving from an ancestor ape. They are also creations of God, and I consider it a sin to be ashamed to come from a creation of God. Stop being so proud, and accept what the eyes see, and what the evidence says. And love the world the way God created it, not the way you want it to be. When you find all the fossils, and all the genetic resemblance, and even the fact that we look IDENTICAL to modern apes, and you still don't believe it, then you are trying very hard to live in a virtual world, a world not created by God, a world that caters to your ego and pride, a false world that is against God's creation. Instead of searching for answers that please your ego, just pray and learn from the wise people of the world and accept their answers, no mater how humble they make you feel. Don't listen to religious fundamentalists that only want you to praise them, instead of God.

Why is nearly all VGA-stuff so low-end? 1360*768 is not much... cause of my dad we did have an Viewsonic P225f - gorgeous 2048 x 1536 via VGA. Granted, you do need a real good cable, but that is not really problem. The hate VGA gets nowadays is strange. Yes, HDMI has its advantages, but for quite some time it didn't have the bandwidth of a good VGA-cable.
@tubical7110 жыл бұрын
