Joey Jordison was and always will be the true heart of Slipknot to me. His drumming, his iconic mask designs, his songwriting and how he was always so kind and gracious to his fans, are all the reasons why so many of us Slipknot fans came to love the band. Joey’s playing and appearance was enigmatic and with those both combined, created a magic and mystery during Slipknot’s first two albums, that only few artists manage to achieve in the world of music. Both things were a huge factor in turning the perception of Slipknot from what people thought was just a bunch of dudes in masks playing angry music, into a highly respected band of artists dedicated to their craft. One of the greatest drummers of all time! RIP Joey Jordison 🙏🏽
