You are awesome, thanks! I've got this mostly printed, I've got most of the hardware (with servos on the way), and I just got to the point in the instructions where the BOM doesn't match the instructions, and the instructions don't say which screw goes where. Your video is a lifesaver.

Hey John, yes the second one is a lit beefer. A little harder to print and the servos cost more, but worth it.

@@ChrisRiley Are the servo's the same as R/C cars, reason I ask is I have a few Traxxas ones from 1/10 Revo's, I built a few shelf queens from parts years ago and upgraded all the standard servos, so if you fancy them, let me know and I''ll send them over too you... All the best... John...

I don't know a lot about the different servo numbers and such. I am not sure what the size difference would be. That is very generous of you, I don't need any for any projects coming up right now, but I will keep this in mind. Thank you.

I am done building the arm and the base but need to run out for some M3x25mm and M4x40mm screws. It's like the design uses almost all the different lengths of bolts available in the world.. Still really cool though, thank you for sharing!

Hey Chris. Nice tutorial as always, congratulations! I just finished the hardware part of this robot, but just hit a snag on the software side of things. Turns out I only got a Raspberry Pi 3B readily available, is it possible to drive all servos with it reliably? Any tutorial you recommend following?

Hey Bruno, I really don't know. My guess is the Pi won't have the current to drive the servos.

Thank you for detailing the construction. Printed it and just started putting it together. There are no holes in the EBAmk2_012_mainbase.stl file for attaching the servo (6:01 into the video). It looks like you drilled those holes after the piece was printed? What size drill bit and how deep? Thanks.

Thanks Mr. Chris for the tutorial. I have a question, Is possible to main base turn 180°?
@ChrisRiley
@ChrisRiley 5 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! Yes, I think it would spin 180 just fine, but you might have to go with a different servo, or get it set just right.
@jonatan7717
@jonatan7717 5 жыл бұрын
The gear for servo : the gear of base = 1 : 2, am I right Mr. Chris? So if i want main base turn 180 then I need a 360 servo. Do you have any suggestion for 360 servo, which is not a continuous servo (with this type, we can't set the degree)? Thank you very much
@ChrisRiley
@ChrisRiley 5 жыл бұрын
1 : 2 looks about right, but I am not really sure. I really don't know of any servo that can spin 360 out of the box, but there are a lot of different mods online that you can alter a regular servo to do this. That's about all I know, sorry I couldn't help more.
