Also with an lte connection you can control the ecoflo from anywhere as long as it connected to the wifi. I literally forget to shut off my lights in my bedroom where I have my units and because I run all my electronics through the ecoflow I can easily kill the ac from work or where ever and shut everything off in one click it's awesome 👌 the app is great I got two exoflow r2maxs daisy chained thru ac not dc with 400w solar ran outside I have it so when the battery goes below 65 percent it charges from the wall and solar at the same time and when the battery is above 65 percent it charges off solar only. The cool thing is it work like a grid tie inverter so everything stays connected and all u have to do is the initial set up in the settings. Freaking sweet little contraption and a great home backup to start out with.

18:00 The EcoFlow River 2 Max and Pro have a 100W USB-C port (only one port though). Their battery sizes are 2x and 3x that of the River 2 respectively. Unfortunately among power stations with two USB-C bi-directional ports, the only unit I can find is the Anker PowerHouse II 800 that you have.

Bluetti has a remake of the Eb55, no app, power brick, available on their EBay store, called the Ps54. I like it’s price, but what makes it awesome for someone with lots of power banks, is that it’s one of the few models that allows dual DC charging, up to 400w, so instead of the solar input you could use 2 powerful power banks!
@TheStopwatchGod5 ай бұрын
They're not USB-C ports though, they're regular DC ports, so Josh is still limited to the one 100W USB-C port on the power station if it even supports charging through that port
@SolarPunk805 ай бұрын
@@TheStopwatchGod if you mean the EB55/PS54 Bluetti models I mentioned Josh just pulled the trigger on some usb c to XT60 adapters!! Yep! They exist and I am definitely ordering one too! That Bluetti model has an xt60 port as well as a barrel jack (8mm?) both of which have usb c adapters out on the market, so the thing that stands out about that Bluetti model is that it is the only one I know of with 2 DC inputs that can receive a charge at the same time, already the EB70 and the newly released AC50B only have one DC input, I was especially bummed that the AC50B didn’t have this feature, because in the absence of solar someone with as many power banks as Josh could still power it up and cook steak and eggs if he wanted! 😂😂
@TheColinputer5 ай бұрын
Yeah the lack of PD input is a bit if a shame on the Bluetti line. I ended up with them sort of by default as it was the only brand that officially sold here in Australia. Only other options was no name devices or else i think Ecoflow did have like the early river models. But they were all normal lithium ion batteries not LifePo4 which was a big no no for me. Another thing too that is great for extending the battery life of these. Is 18v power tool batteries. I made up an adapter for my Bluetti stuff that has a little meter and a low voltage cutout module set to 15v because you have got to be really careful to not over discharge and damage the power tool battery.

If you want to connect via bluetooth you need to close ekoflow app. Bluetooth is present all the time in ekoflow station, so there is no button or settings in app where you can turn bluetooth on or off. So therefore is bluetooth still running.... I have delta 2 version home and it works like this : 1 Turn off wiifi 2 Turn on Bluetooth and location services in your phone 3 Hold finger on bluetooth to get in Bluetooth list of devices and pick ekoflow 4 start app and scan for devices. You should see river 2 and hit connect. Good luck

Hi again Josh, so are you telling me that if you have a USB-C port on a battery power bank like the one in this video, that you can either pull power from or.... or ADD power back into the device ? .... I never realized this. Is this true of ALL USB-C power banks ? even tiny Anker ones that sport a USB-C port ? I think my question is a valid or "good" one as I am not an expert on this stuff.... u seem to have an electric background as you talk about this stuff so freely without thinking about it which is cool !

i have an ecoflow river 2 pro, and i haven't gotten the solar panels... YET, and im thinking of getting 1 which is either a 110 watts and or a 220 watts. under 220 watts, as long as the sun is out, then you can have infinite electricity. right now i only have the the plug and the car adapters. and im looking forward to getting the solar panels to get. I have to say, the ecoflow river 2 pro what i got for my money i got it off of ebay, and that is a 768 what hours, im drawing less than 50 to maybe watts of output and i can watch movies like almost all night and somewhat day, i will be getting an upgrade soon, at max if im not gaming, less than 40 watts, and thats ideal for my likings.... for now at least. and the battery chemistry is LFP. so you can actually get upwards to 10 WHOLE years discharging and recharging daily, i have my battery set to 100 watts so i can prolong the battery keeping it at full charge is NOT ideal though. the ecoflow river 2 pro i have will act like a UPS. that ecoflow CAN act like a UPS, like under 30 Milliseconds

I'm sad I didn't get the 200w. I said it in this video when I was outside. It's so much easier to get 110w to the power bank. You have to have perfect conditions to get 110w out of a 110w panel.

You agreed to a lot of legal when you agreed to the app disclaimer unless its changed. I was shocked when I got my Ecoflow. One of the things in the disclaimer was terms including one that covers Ecoflow sharing your data if they deems it necessary. I dont think it's right that they have access to my phone data and have control of what they deem fit to do with it. Its not clear what data they would access.

Having an Anker account is similar to use their app on the 250w power bank. I was talking about a legal agreement because myself (a content creator) and the company for a review unit. Like, I make videos for fun. Let me have my freedom. Send me the product for free and I'll make a video and let everyone know what I think. Don't make me sign something that says I can only say good things or etc.
@practicalguy9735 ай бұрын
@@wwjoshdew I hear you. These companies are getting out of hand with the legal conditions for video reviewers.
