I’m going in June 2023 for a bday gift I gave myself and got it with the -$400 off with the Black Friday sale. and I’m not gonna lie, & I’m so nervous about if we’ll get a good tour guide. 😓I’ve done Jamaica & South Africa with strangers and they were amazing trips. I personally think traveling with strangers is more enjoyable lol. Love the energy and I gotta watch your vlogs of the video, I read the whole uf terms & conditions and you covered a lot great parts

Hey girl, your video had me cracking up. 😄 Reminded me so much of myself! The vaccination part...do you have to be vaccinated to participate in all of EF ultimate break trips? And, you mentioned you taught abroad... this was through your school program? or did you find a company, got certified and then applied to go there?

Hey! Thanks for watching and glad I could provide some laughter 🤣 I’m not sure if the vaccination requirement has been lifted for all trips but when/ if you sign-up it will tell you. As far as teaching abroad- my degree is in elementary education and I found a company who helped me setup interviews and secure a job. Good question! No I did not. USD was accepted as well as major cards. If you did pay in USD you would receive colones back- so I would say it’s not necessary to get them before you leave.

How was the roommate situation? I'm traveling solo so definitely having a roommate most likely and I have a parent that doesn't like the rooming stuff 😅😅 so how are roommates

It’s totally fine! Most people come solo so everybody is pretty respectful of other peoples boundaries and space. It’s super relaxed and everybody is there to travel and have a good time so it’s not a big issue. My roommates were great 😊

Did the bus that you took for traveling around throughout costa rica have a bathroom on it? How long on average were those bus rides? Thx! I might go to Costa Rica in Feb or March 2023!

Great question! Yes there was bathroom on the bus and we didn’t stay on the bus for more than about 2 hours- and that was when we were moving to different cities. But I did enjoy the bus rides bc you get to see so many different parts of the country and all the different climates/ landforms. It’s gorgeous! 🥰

How much did you tip your tour guide? What is standard?

Such a good question! If I remember correctly we tipped about $5/day so it ended up being about $50 per person but we all ended up giving way more than that and gave any extra colones we had to Victor. We also tipped anybody who ran any of the activities we did $2-$3 as well.

Ahh- I’m so sorry I don’t have the list anymore but we stayed at hostels for the whole trip- the only time we didn’t as on the first night and the last night where we stayed at the Best Western bc it was close to the airport. Each hostel had about 3-4 people in from our trip in each room. I am also not certain if they use the same hostels every time or if it changes based on availability/ group size ect. @@britneysuriel8465 I think there was one couple that kid extra for the two person room and they were placed together the entire time. I did the standard experience but everybody had the same roommates each time we moved hostels- which helped because you knew them and it mad building relationships easier.

Hey thanks for watching! Can you be more specific? Like the EF trip as a whole or certain activities? I think the great thing about EF is you can pick and choose what you want to do based on your preference and comfortability and that kind of tailors the trip so everybody has an enjoyable experience so in that regard I would say yes- I also feel like I can’t fully speak to your question because I don’t have that personal experience and you deserve to hear from someone who does, but I hope this helps a little. I definitely would love to see more content on the trips around diverse body types. 💜
