HEYYY DIAM!! 🫶🏽 I was hesitant to post my actual hotel experience as a Brand Ambassador, but this is what I would want to see and know before I went. Hotels are a big deal to me 😅. And I’m glad he got to come! Now he has the travel bug and is looking into other EF trips. But you are so right about the prices. It’s a good bang for your buck for sure…I just need them to upgrade more of these hotels causeeee

Love love love this vlog , i have this trip booked for my bday in July . But the highlight of it for me - despite elephants being my faveeee animal ever is the massage you got at the correctional facility. That is SO beautiful. I love that for you and for them sm, i took down the name so i can support too. We stan actual rehabilitation in the correctional community and we stan that even more for women.

When you go, give yourself plenty of time…one of my regrets is that I didn’t have enough time there 😭 because YESSSSS WE STAN actually rehabilitate and correcting vs typical jail systems. I can go on an entire rant about this lol but yesssss for women getting back on their feet

Sorry for your bad stays at hotels. When I went to phuket we stayed at the baan sung villa about 13 of us. Beautiful villa we had breakfast and dinner every day after we came back from our outings. Visit Temples , Elephant sanctuary and phi phi island. We all also got tattoos on the patong strip. I got a Elephant and in writing phuket and the month and days I was there. This month I'll be in Capetown South Africa

If I were to go back, I would definitely book my own hotels. I like clean, and luxurious, especially after being in the sun all day visiting temples and elephants. Both times I’ve been to Thailand I’ve been SOOOO close to getting an elephant tattoo…then I chicken out lol

😭😭 this is why I was worried about posting the hotels, but I wanted to be honest about my experience, but I didn’t want to scare anyone 😭 but this would be info I would want before I left. But since you leave so soon, you should have the hotel names already. Do you have the EF app? It’s all listed in there. But my tour dates were November 9-18. You’re going to have so much fun! My brother’s room at the hotel in Phuket was SO much better than the one me and my roommate were in. Me and my roommate had to shower there every night. It was bigger and way nicer than the “upgraded” swim up room we had. But thank you so much for watching and enjoy your trip! It’s an incredible country.

Yes, hopefully they do 😭 looking back the hotel in Chiang Mai wasn’t as bad as the Phuket one, but it was still jarring going from the Bangkok hotel to the last two hotels on an upgraded trip.

hi Rachel! Both times I’ve been have been in the winter, so November, December/Early January. But rainy season there is between July and October. But I’ve heard that even when it rains there, it doesn’t last too long 🫶🏽

@@kdramasweregood if you’re booking alone, you don’t have to share rooms. I did India this year at 32 and was so grateful for a room alone at night lol. You’ll be in the same hotels, just in a room to yourself.

Seeeee the accommodations aspect is one of my main apprehensions about EF. Not only do I not have control over the hotel, but its not even decent? On an Ultimate Plus trip at that?! Whew chile

it’s my main hangups too, I won’t even LIE. Both times I went to Thailand, we had people booking their own rooms at nicer accommodations because it’s so cheap over there to do so. I wanted to before we left, but the reviews didn’t look bad, and the one hotel I stayed at before in Phuket wasn’t bad back then. But you get your hotel names a month before you go, so if they aren’t to your standards, you can book elsewhere and EF will refund you the portion of the hotel that they booked for you back to you. I love this trip so much, but if people are slightly bougie like me and like a nice, comfortable place to lay their head at after a very long day…I would recommend booking your own room on THIS particular trip.

How much time did yall spend at each site. Did yall have opportunities to go off the tour and experience things on your own or were you directed by the guide most of the way? I really want to take alot of of pictures in the grand palace and white temple. My tour is this March coming

I can’t remember the exact timing, but we were at the Grand Palace for a WHILEEEE. There was plenty of time plus some for everyone to take plenty of pictures. As far as free time, there’s some free time and you can always skip activities as well. Without us skipping anything that was included in the tour, we had time to go off on our own and walk around Bangkok to get massages, find dinner spots, generally explore and go out to go OUT lol. Chaing Mai, we had more free time, like I got the extra massage, some people went to a Thai fight, and in Phuket, we had time for dinners and more massages 😅. I think the free was enough time to keep you not feeling bored, but that you could do something on your own or just rest.

I would suggest going with EF honestly. It’s so well planned and like you said, includes flights (but you have the option to book your own flights with EF as well). And EF includes a lot of meals, especially on the Ultimate Plus trips.

I'm going on Thailand trip next week but i cant make up my mind on whether if i should bring check in luggage (+carry on) or not (EF suggest to bring carry on and back pack only ) . Hi there! So I have two answers. The first time I went to Thailand with EF, I packed a checked bag. Now that I know everyone is traveling again, this time I packed a carry on. My brother, and a lot of other travelers packed a checked bag and had no issues. Either way, I feel like you can’t go wrong. But within Thailand, their airlines accept either checked or carry on with no issues. I checked my carryon when traveling between cities because I got lazy lol. Happy travels!

I think they rectified it. Hopefully they changed the hotels or are in the process of drawing up new agreements with hotels (I imagine that process takes a while to hold rooms for that many travelers), but I haven’t heard any news from people that’s been on the trip since I went.

Personally, I think the 11 days was just enough. I’m not sure how different the islands are from one another, but I figure if you seen one, seen them all since they will all look so similar. But if you’re a big beach person, definitely go for the 22 days to get some ocean time in….but that wasn’t a big enough factor to me personally to spend almost a month in a country with majority of that time around water. Our days in Phuket and our time spent at the Phi Phi Islands was enough water time for me and the perfect wrap up to the trip, so it really depends on what you want out of your vacation 🫶🏽 some people on the trip extended their time in the Phi Phi islands for a few extra days before flying home, so that’s an option too!

Hi! I have never traveled with EF but I’ve been to Thailand twice and both tomes stayed around a solid month. Me personally, I think its worth the 22 days as I looked at the itinerary and all are islands ive been to and all are beautiful and worth visiting, that being said i agree with Jaymo. Definitely depends if you’re a beach person or not! Also the flights are the most expensive thing for me (like 1.5k per round trip) so i have the mindset of “if im going i am going to STAY” lol

@@itskaylahdani Personally, including my flights + accommodations and extra i spent around 3k and stayed for a 29 days. I think it might be worth it it if you wan’t to spend more to have everything planned for you for sure. Me personally I wanted to stay different spans at different places and do a lot of my own things which is why I chose to travel alone! Either way im sure is a great experience.

They done took my money, lied to me & said theres nothing they could do about it, then randomly booked me on a trip without my permission? I did go swimming in the Phi Phi islands. There’s a snorkel spot, but you wear life jackets and you don’t have to swim if you don’t want to. I was over it very quickly and came back to the boat during snorkeling early just to sit in the sun. There’s a swim spot too, but I hate jumping off boats, so I just watched and enjoyed others doing it instead. all of that to say, you don’t have to go into the water if you don’t want to 🫶🏽
