It’s impressive, his sheer persistence pretty much got them to do a Movies of his request. For a large stretch of Efap it was just a thing to hear his superchats. I used to find it annoying too, but I’m happy for him in the end. A legend for getting us another one of these for sure.

Kinda bugged me how often Mauler went "This is like a video game." Yeah. That's the point. Even the main villains plan is drawn from that concept. Indoctrinate an army of super soldiers by creating a scenario that makes them believe they love that girl, by just going "She is your girlfriend, now go save her." Like so many early games have done. Double Dragon springs to mind. That's why she says that line at the end, she wants the main character to save her because of his conditioning. I mean, it's not as bad as Nostalgia Critic spending the whole of Last Action Hero complaining about how cliche it is, 'Cause at least Mauler rolled with it. But it still feels that he sorta missed the point.

That's the thing, it doesn't even really qualify as "bad" because the style is so unique to itself. The story is empty? That doesn't really matter because it is so focused on the frantic pacing. CGI explosions? Not everything works as planned and it's damn near impossible to fix one take.

The scene with the horse was supposed to be longer, the entire scene had the horse break its leg and Henry had to shoot it, they didnt think itd play well with american audiences so they cut the scene down.

The reason akan doesn't use his telekinesis so much is bc he lost a lot of blood from it, notice at the end when he controlled Henry's hands, he droll a lot of blood for using his power for only seconds, and the reason he didn't throw henry off the building or killed him at all is bc he is a test subject, if you didn't know.

("Its bad" and "I like it" are two different things.) Hardcore Henry is a one trick and one gimmick movie. But hell, I love it shamelessly and am so glad it exists. I once saw Hardcore Henry on an advert and thought it seemed pretty interesting. and then i played Payday 2 where they put Jimmy into the game and made him into a coke addict with lettuce hair and it was amazing. Kinda sold me on the movie though i never actually watched it.

There really is a lot of moments of having a rifle shooting exactly at the main character yet not hitting him despite penetrating the guy in front of him The first guy had a hole through his head in a way that would have hit Henry yet I guess the bullet disappeared before that for a blood effect.

If you go into Hardcore Henry looking for a serious plot driven movie you'll be disappointed. If you want a self-aware irony fueled action film where the actors stop to wink at the camera every five seconds so you know that THEY know the movie is dumb you'll be disappointed. HH is an unashamed cheesy gimmicky action flick, and it just works.
