Hey great video..I got a Sony bravia xr a80j in May and haven't cleaned it yet. Are you positive a swiffer is safe to use? Some people say swiffer some say only microfiber but I only have dust on my panel no smudges or finger prints. Just terrified of damaging it in any way

I still use Swiffer as of today, just make 100% sure the brush is clean and do not apply any pressure. Also remember to remove all jewelry, especially your watch.

Hi George, Thank you for your feedback, it helps me a lot. Did these streaks appear with distilled water? The TV in this video is actually a 2019 Samsung Q70R QLED and just last week I removed several spots of fly defecate with distilled water and a clean soft microfiber cloth. I agree, that initially you do see water streaks, even after several gentle wipes with the microfiber cloth. However, after a minute or so, these vanished completely. @@YuriBrus Fyi the only way to see the blue transparent smudges or streaks is to actually point a flashlight to the tv screen…that way you also notice the tiny micro scratches too.

Have you tried to gently rub off the dirt with a clean microfiber cloth and distilled water? Just make sure not to use any pressure, since the anti-glare layer easily gets damaged.

Okay, make sure to spray the water on the cloth and not on the screen, but more importantly, don't use any pressure, only gentle motions.

@@dineshv8666 From my experience, distilled water works better than most cleaning solutions. Still, no matter what you use, always rub the cloth gentle, because even a dry cloth could potentially damage any coating that is on the screen.

Sounds like it left a print in the anti-glare layer. Not much you can do in that case. Best is just to forget about it, I am sure you can only see it when the TV is off, and you're standing very close to it.

Yeah, that's right. If necessary, you can moist the cloth with distilled water. Just avoid too much pressure and don't use tap water or chemicals
