If you don't matter I'd like to introduce a small detail. You refered to Tonny Robbin's quote "Repetition is the mother of skill". Actually it comes from the ancient Greek saying "Repetition is the mother of learning" . As a Greek I had been told that many many times when I was a student. Thanks a lot for your interesting videos.

I have to say to you, that I used to teach mentally disabled children and I have never met one of them who couldn't use the past tense when they began to go to school. And I have been learning for several years in English and it happened to me not once that I said a verb in present tense when I should have said it in past tense. And I realized that my knowledge is worse than my mentally disabled students used to be.

I'm sorry for saying this teacher,I've been listening to your lessons for 1 years and I improved a lot,but these days deep down myself the repetition is killing me, in fact repeating the same lesson for many times drives me up the wall and it kills my motivation. I guess if the lessons were as videos so I can watch and listen that would be better. And I wish someday that I could be a teacher just like you.

Hello A J Hoge, I agree with your idea. I just want to point that the repetition is one of the key for deep learning. However, repeating each day gonna work but you can do it effeciently too. We use what we call the "espaced repetition" which help us to build a stronger neural structure. This technique involves to repeat what you want to study by spacing the repetition on several day ( the best way is to choose the same slot ).For instance, you can refer to this by listening (to improve your speaking skills ) or watching (to grab the main ideas by their gesture, at first) to the same tape 3 time a week for 2 months or so. The other one about to never learn a word alone and prefer the group of words or phrases. Actually, it's really effective because when you are learning new things, you are creating new chunks - mental leap that helps you units bits of information together through meaning- so the more you are trying to creating connection with the new information, the easiest for you to remember it. Well, I believe that before learning a new things, we have to test some unconventional approaches rather than repeating the same mistakes ^^
