Great tips to help someone in their English speaking. I’d say the most important tip is to practice to speaking and listening! Think about small children, a child learns a language first by listening and speaking - they make so many grammar mistakes when they’re younger which is perfectly normal but they don’t get scared to make those mistakes. So to everyone who feels like they can understand English but not speak it don’t be scared to make those mistakes because making mistakes is the only way to learn 🤗

Practice speaking English with a native speaker as far as possible, is the most effective way to be a fleunt English speaker. Reading different books and about different topics helps to enrich your vocabulary and have enough words to express oneself in various situations. Not to mention , it is necessary to be confident and try to speak without thinking of making mistakes.

You are doing a great job. Keep it up Mandy! I want to add one thing, any listening activity, be it a movie, a TV show or an audio book helps in acquiring speaking skill. Basically you have to create an environment in which a foreign language is used. We English Teachers believe in Communicative approach, which is the integration of four skills. If you try to teach a foreign language through grammar it will hamper spoken fluency.

Video brief: 1)Learn everything by topic: Create a notebook with different sections for various topics like friendship, relationships, health, environment, education, sports, and hobbies. Whenever you come across new words or phrases related to a specific topic, write them down in the relevant section of your notebook. 2)Write before you speak: Before engaging in a conversation, write down a few sentences about the topic you want to discuss. This helps you organize your thoughts, practice grammar and vocabulary, and have pre-made sentences or phrases ready to use during the conversation. 3)Prefabricated sentences: These are sentences that you create in advance and have memorized. By using the sentences and vocabulary you have learned, mix and match them to create new sentences during conversations. This allows you to speak more fluently and confidently. 4)Practice: Practice speaking on your own, even if you don't have a speaking partner. Talk to yourself, imagine different situations, describe things, or engage in dialogues. The more you practice speaking, the more comfortable and proficient you will become. It's important to note that practice and consistent effort are key to improving your speaking skills over time. By following these steps and dedicating time to practice, you can make significant progress in speaking English.

Every time I speak english I always stutter and I cannot formulate easily the words that should come out of my mouth. I am more confident in writing than speaking english. This applies when you are in the process of learning every language, like i mean for example , I can understand Dutch but with speaking is but difficult for me. Reading and listening are for passive learners , writing & speaking is for active learners some people find writing and reading easier , thus it differs the ability of the person. But learning a language needs emersion, you cant speak for example English if you living in non English countries. Like its common sense . But if you living in Russia or China even you can't speak their language you forced your self to learn it bc for your survival, & your environment speak it so you have the change to adopt it. I actually still learn how to understand the word when I speaking with native speaker like you, May I get some help for more simple Exam from you.. 🙏
@bluc3cl0ud2 жыл бұрын
to be honest, I always find speaking is the easiest out of 4 skills. The hardest one for me is listening. If you ever join a formal meeting on a particular specialized field with people who have a very strong accent (even they are native speakers), you will get what I mean. Listening is truly hard. I change the speed of this video to x2, and I still can understand everything being said, because this is a very common & normal topic. However, I still feel my listening skill sucks, because when it comes to specialized fields, like mechanics, construction, engineering, medicine, banking, etc. listening is a real challenge, esp when speakers have a difficult-to-get-it accent.

We have understood that, among the EIGHT, 8 PARTS OF SPEECH, "Verb", yes verb alone is the most important of all. So, while speaking in ENGLISH, one should take care not to commit any mistake in the usage of VERB.

Your knowledge of learning a language is very great. I agree with your tips because I was an English-major student. That's why we have similar opinion.

Going through my own experience when i studied in the US to get my Bachelor Degree, I came up to my own personal logical way how to learn English language. Learning grammar should be put first eventhough i knew grammar was a passive skill. Next is, i practiced by writing a lot of essays to express my opinion by connecting words through the structure of grammars i learned. The next step to be able to speak is, to bring about your AWARENESS by listening to talk shows. You can pin point in your mind and be aware to yourself that each sentence grammar they say in the talk shows, changes based upon the time signals. The more you listen, the more you will be aware oooo that's the way "the rules" of gramnars are used in PRACTICAL TALKS based on different situations or topics. The other efforts are to listen to a lot of English movies/news before you sleep. Plus, you have to accumulate and mememorize a lot of vocabularies. Lastly, after you do all of the above, just by pushing yourself a bit not to be shy to talk to a native speaker, your fluency in speaking English will come naturally because you are sooo soaked in awareness of understanding. Trust me, without those steps, you wont master your writing skills. What is the point of being able to speak fluently, if you cant function to write formal professional business writing in the future? Isnt that the purpose of learning a language? Not just merely speaking?

I share the following with you, Sir, As many as 11/12 of our relatives (MADURAI - TAMIL Nadu - India) were compelled /forced/ bound to register a faster growth rate particularly in Spoken English as their official language is English in the Private sector companies of the USA. Now, all of them have become the USA citizens. Such a very strict environment is not available in T. N, or anywhere in India. So, our growth in Speaking will be slow, but consistent. The conversation between the two OR among the three /four , in videos, (not English cinema) would be of great use.
