Flying out the Lime Kit and taking about feed. Lmk what your experience is... this is just what I've noticed for myself, flying my own birds in my own yard...

The birds are doing good. You are right about the timing of their feed, but there are 2 ways of looking at this. I feed my birds in the late afternoon so when I fly them next they they will fly with no problem reason being is that they still have stored food in their system to use as energy. When I fly them in the afternoon they seem to fly less because their food and energy is already used up and they are looking to get fed again. Its like us humans, we are in a routine as to when we eat.

I read once in the racing pigeon books for nutrition... what I have found, is that certain grains take more time to break down as you mentioned. Knowing which grains do what plays a role for sure. But not all grains digest the same and once you figure that out, to me, flying birds don't seem to differ much from family to family... only thing that do stand out to me is genetics. I think that's where a lot can vary over the years of flying birds that I've come to find. Again, this is just my experience, but I always enjoy comparing notes and always open up try new things abs finding out myself how to apply it to my birds.

Still flying, just got busy so no time to sit back and record. I'm still pushing the 2023 birds up, this is usually the last kit I fly for the day. My youngest kit of 23 is starting to lift really good and showing good chemistry. They are also flying longer time now so it's hard to gauage when I have time to do videos. But when I get time I usually try. Hopefully all is going well on your end?

For how long they are flying out there?

My birds tend to fly for 30-45 minutes max. I don't really like my birds to fly for a long time... birds that fly for a long time tend to be a bit stiff in my opinion. I like my birds to get up and when they get of height I like em to just start working. The less flying the less attractions they bring from bops. Plus with little kids, I would not be able to invest one kit for 2 hours.
