For dandruff use a ginger shampoo. Or make ginger juice using the root and spray on your scalp every washday. Problem solved😊

OOOH I still modernize and love a good condition but for my scape hello. Hair Grease I guess we all that wear it for the same reason to stop my scape from itching. And it works all the time it's a must a staple for my hair but me I gotta have both water a brush and my hair grease then almost anyone can comb my hair

We have to have more videos and talks about young ladies that work in places where they can't have they hear out yes it is a law that said that we cannot be fired for wearing our natural hair but I think that wearing our natural hair in a neat way not the way you have your hair on this video but remember that there are so many people that really don't understand I mean I don't care what race you are what type of hair you have if you worked on certain jobs that you shouldn't have your hair flying all over your head then do so have your hair neatly combed a braided or however it makes you look neat those are the videos that we have to have because women are out working now and they have to realize maybe because they have a lot of hair that have thick hair that you have to learn how to have a style that will go with your job and I don't think that is wrong for you to have a style that is appropriate for your job and I've been working for a long time and I had to have here or hairstyle that is appropriate with my job I have wolves or working Food Service I can't have an afro like that and work in food service

Use fingers to exfoliate scalp when washing; occasionally use my battery operated scalp massager during the week. Shampoo: homemade African black soap shampoo. Scalp and hair love it. I can even detangle with it. I also clay wash--i alternate using shampoo or clay wash according to how the hurr is looking/feeling. P.S. I'm a henna girl too! I do a full treatment once every 4-8 weeks, and glosses in between when the mood strikes. Black rice water too!

I don’t use grease because I don’t use any sealant really. When my hair dries out I hop in the shower. I use ACV as a detangler and then follow up with conditioner and style my hair wet and t-shirt dry overnight. Every weekend I clarify with castle soap. Technically sulfate-free but it cleans like a sulfate-I like a clean slate to work with. Because I wet my hair so often (even when i protective style), my scalp is really balanced. I haven’t had dandruff since going natural.

I appreciate these well researched videos cuz my hair started falling out after it got longer and thicker because I wasn't oiling my scalp and the liquid oils weren't doing it. Now it's a couple inches from shoulder length with only a slight backlash from halo breakage. It's just hair I can grow it back! Thanks again

If Vaseline. Petroleum was so bad and drying out for the hair , how come my crusty Rusty dry two layer thickness of dryness of my feet it-feelsbetter,healing of my feet . Vaseline put socks on it overnight and it’s moisturize in a day unlike what expensive other things cannot do riddle me that. Sorry for the run-on sentences I’m speaking through the mic but you get what I’m saying. Try getting an Aloe Vera plant and use that on your scalp. It also repairs dead skin cells. It moisturize hair so well, and scalp. It’s 1.99 in health store

Blue Magic All Day!!! ✊🏾💪🏾 My grandmother stoped perming her hair about four years ago and her hair is at bra strap length. I’m trying to catch up to her. Grandmother also uses gelatin for a protein treatment in her hair. I’m not sure if gelatin is vegan or not. It’s probably not. 😂 Yes!!! Please do a braid pattern tutorial. So I can wear my wigs again.

deseandote1 My grandmother uses the Knox or Royal brand of plain gelatin powder. She boils it and let’s cool down some and applys it to her hair. Put the plastic bag for 30 min to an hour and rinse out followed by a deep conditioning treatment. (Gelatin has protein in it) I guess she uses it for a protein treatment. She is 80 years old. I guess it’s an old school treatment because I don’t hear or see about anyone in my age group doing this. 😂🤷🏾‍♀️

I've been natural for almost 14 years and no shampoo cleanses my scalp better than Nizoral. I have SD, and I've used it since my hair was relaxed. I also like using clay mixed with strongly brewed hibiscus tea. Both methods keep my scalp calm. I don't use a lot of products in my hair because of my scalp and because I'm cheap. Medicated shampoo/clay & tea, deep conditioner, water, shea butter or grease (depending on which I have in the house) make up my entire stash. I know this works for me because I've grown my hair to hip length before I cut it off a couple of years ago. It's back to bra strap length now. My scalp likes to be stripped and my hair likes to be left alone. So I try to stay consistent with that.

Grease is really good but some of them smell too industrial (royal crown). I also can't apply it to my scalp because it makes it dirty more quickly and traps all kinds of lint and all that.

Thanks for sharing and you are so right about hair grease (Blue Magic). This has been my second big chop within 4 years and the answer had been in my face. I have tried everything from black rice water too onion juice, which both work, but if you don't have the right sealant you can kiss length retention goodbye. Went back to my childhood basic with my very sensitive scalp and it's a whole new game. Once I embraced the hair I was horned with I started to see changes very fast. Ladies your hair really is your crown and glory and you should treat it as so. For the ones who know that you hair don't care for daily malpication, try wearing wigs to change up your look your hair will thank you. When I started my natural hair jounary I was not mentally or emotionally perpared, but I'm a quick learner. You will get to know you better or meet yourself for the first time.😃. Either way I wish you the best on your jounary.Be blessed.

I also use a scalp scrub I do cowash and there are cowashes that have cleansing agents. But I dont cowash exclusively. I make sure to clarify 1ce/2ce a month. I cowash either weekly or 2ce a week

I just started using hair grease again after not using it for damn near 15 years. Bought some blue magic for $2.12 at Walmart. Washed using my FAVORITE Shea moisture line the low porosity because like you said in the info box, the rest of their stuff is trash. Used the leave in, sealed with blue magic and my twists feel very moisturized and soft. This is the best it’s felt in a long time and I’m going to keep it up. Back when I was younger my mom did the simple wash condition hair lotion and seal with grease and my hair was so long and thick, when she took me to get my pictures taken, the photographer asked was I wearing a wig 😂 I don’t think my hair has changed since I was younger other than the terrible things I put it through listening to unvetted and unreliable sources on the internet. All those kitchen concoctions/12 hr wash day regimes/$20 products don’t work for me. #BackToBasics

Idk, I notice that hair grease dries my hair out and makes my scalp very itchy, and when I try to detangle with spraying water after a couple days, a lot of hair ends up on the comb. Only heavy hair creams or butters work for me and detangling under running water reduces hair breakage.

I prefer Dax myself when growing up. Not using grease shouldn’t be expensive. Buy the ingredients like Shea butter and natural oils. I stopped using brands a long time ago. I had lox’s down to my butt but just found the length irritating when I was 6 months pregnant with my now 7yr old identical twin boys and shaved them all off. I regret throwing my lox’s away as I do plan to go back to locs when I turn 50😃 I love Castile liquid soap.
