I like the idea of the sockets so I can get a TV closer to the wall, I never knew these existed. In the process of putting my TV on the wall at the moment and I want to hide all my cables etc so you have given me something to think about now with these and the other euro module sockets. 😀

I've used tool less with cat6a. The company who installed the entire schools data system (over 500) tool less cat6a termination done it successfully. You should try it. They are extremely reliable

Sorry, I use the excel ones. They are a bit different. They have metal hinged lids which are a lot better than this type. These ones, I just use the Krone tool and then put the cap on just for the sake of it

Look nice but I really felt for you with that cat 6, looked hard enough fitting on a work bench with plenty of light don't fancy doing loads of those on my knees with a head torch.

If they made the faceplate slightly thicker you could then do bottom entry making it about 25mm from wall

Another benefit with the keystone range is if you dropped anything behind the tv like playstation controller there would be less stress on the cables due to it's natural angle.

90 degree adapters for sat cables etc and for hdmi leads take up less space

Those RJ45 keystone modules are very similar to the Excel tool-less RJ45 modules which work very well. The Excel ones are metal bodied so fully screened and good for FTP.

From our research keystone modules are popular in the US market - so chances are the Excel one you mention will fit the plates we used. - If you can drop us a link we’ll try it.
@18in804 жыл бұрын
@@efixx The following link shows the Excel tool-less RJ45 and how they're terminated. I first used them 10 years' ago and had no problems with them. They fit into angled euro modules which can of course then be fitted into a plate designed for euro modules. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DsGJ4ZRVbut4&ved=2ahUKEwi3hsuV-bjsAhX5RxUIHTMjC9MQo7QBMAF6BAgJEAE&usg=AOvVaw35DaV0fRIdC-hjCQvYC9Xl

@@efixx keystone patch panels and matching keystone jacks are fairly popular in Europe as well - I have a couple of 16 port p]ones that I grabbed very cheap from a second hand store decades ago, started life iPad telephone grade rj45 and I’m now using one for telephone and one for coax.
@AsadMulla3 жыл бұрын
When you untwist data cable, you shouldn't untwist it all the way back like it's done in the video. It should stay twisted just until where it terminates
@JasperJanssen2 жыл бұрын
My response when seeing this was very “this is why you don’t let electricians terminate data cables”. It’ll be fine for gigabit Ethernet but you’re using cat 6/6A because you want to use 10GE presumably and that’s a different story.
@CP-du3ci4 жыл бұрын
That has to be the worst RJ45 connector I have seen for terminating. In the time it took you to terminate one I could have done 5 using the Krone tool.
@GeeTheBuilder4 жыл бұрын
Sorry mate, but by the time you’d laid all the network cables out ready for “insulation displacement” I’d have punched them all down with a punch down tool I don’t see it saving time or money (punchdowns are cheap as chips)

Not to mention the unnecessary and incorrect process of untwisting the pairs, thereby destroying the cable assembly testing.

I would like to see network validation testing done on the RJ45 termination. Particularly the results for crosstalk.

Using a HDMI 90 degree bend on a euro module would probably get the HDMI closer to the wall and also mean the TV would not be pushing directly against the cable and potentially damaging it. Also for flush mounting TV’s sync box is the best thing to use. AOS swear by them.
@efixx4 жыл бұрын
The Syncbox is a great product, but needs 78mm mounting depth and is quite expensive.
