@@JustPlaneCrazy sounds is awesome . Here what I did for reverse option: I used switch G on nx -10 0 = normal 1= reverse armed 2= reverse on at 45% and if need more use the throttle stick I mixed aux 8 with throttle assigned to switch G with -54 rate Switch H is motor cut off The thing is gotta make sure your landed off the elev in ground roll before advancing reverse . At least way I’m going to go with it . Have a bless weekend

Receive mine last week. Took 20 min to assemble and 2 days to program the radio. I was going crazy looking in the manual for something about the reverse thrust until I found a couple of videos on how to do it. Wanted to fly last weekend but had problems with the CG. With a 5000mAh all the way forward, it was way tail heavy. It took a 6000 battery all the way forward to have it balance neutral. Appreciate seeing how yours is set, give me another reference to look at. I'm looking forward to flying this one. I've been a big proponent of the 70mm being an excellent 1st jet, I can't wait to get this one up.

Great video and flying Brendon. I was able to secure two of those SMC packs you are using for this weekend. Feel like I was asking too much from the SMC 4500 mah’s @ 5:15. What a great jet, huh? Mezon going in mine at the moment. Perhaps I’ll get the thrust reverse figured out while using jeti tx and rx one day. Always look forward to seeing your videos!!

Got my Viper 90mm together. For some reason my flap servos are running "HOT"! All the others are fine. It would be odd that that both flap servos are bad. You have any suggestions? I'm running a Frsky system.

They are most likely binding in stop. Adjust them to stop before they get stressed in stall

@@JustPlaneCrazy I’m sure you has plenty in the tank but did you land under power or did you chop the throttle?
@JustPlaneCrazy3 жыл бұрын
@@Truthstillmatters2 gotcha. I typically use glide slope to control decent, power off or maybe just one click or so if needed for flare. If I see I am descending to quick I add a bit of power. This plane is typically power off.

Very useful video thanks a lot Brendon 👍🏻🤩 can you tell me what are your flaps throws for t/o and landing (in millimeters because I can’t find it in the book and I’m on Jeti) and elevator compensation in millimeters ? Thanks for that 🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰

24mm takeoff 50 landing both setting use 1-2mm down elevator mix
@johnthomas13483 жыл бұрын
Arthur, I’m using a jeti 7ch assist and have 8 flights so far. I didn’t measure flap throws. Just plugged it up, adjusted the end points to get flaps lined up with ailerons a few clicks and am happy with those settings. No flap to elevator mix used or needed in my setup. CG was set initially at the rear most recommended (17mm back from marks referenced in manual). Found that it was still a bit nose heavy and moved my 4500 SMC pack back another 1/4” and flew the remaining 7 flights. Note: I use a 4 second delay for every change in flaps, which seems to eliminate the need for elev to flap mix. Initial flights were performed with stock motor and esc, along with a 150 amp mui sensor and muli 6. Now that I’ve found the proper esc settings to use with a mezon, I’m pulling the mui sensor and am replacing the avian 130 with a mezon 160. It’s a perfect fit. Hope to test her again this weekend with the jeti esc and Powerbox GPS III. Along with SMC 5200 lipos. It’s a really sweet package, no matter the radio used. Some are bitchin about price. I would have paid more now that I own one.

Just can't see how this plane is worth $600! I'll stay with Motion and Avanti.
@JustPlaneCrazy3 жыл бұрын
James. I am uploading my fourth flight on this jet later today. You need to check it out. Also if you like data, the Avanti gives you zero telemetry. This Viper is nothing to blink at and I have no ties to HH. Plus it’s bigger than the Avanti. I understand. Everyone likes what they like
@jamesl87223 жыл бұрын
@@JustPlaneCrazy I like it, but it's not worth $200 extra. Everyone has raised prices, but HH has taken it to a new level.

@@jamesl8722 nice but out of my budget as well.
@afterburnerrc63333 жыл бұрын
@@jamesl8722 You know at first thought I agree 100%, but then I started to think about it. If you consider the cost of the receiver, extra labor to put together the servo pushrods, mount the receiver, glue the canopy, route the servo cables.....etc well then its price is actually on point. This is a true PNP whereas the Avanti you have some assembly. I have never been able to pull a plane out of the box and have it assembled in 15min, no seriously 15min. A few of those minutes were spent wondering what the hell I missed LOL, which I didn't, it was just too easy.

I argue that point all the time. We have been spoiled fir a king time with really cheap prices. Maybe that’s why we have like 12 hobby shops left in the country worth anything
