If it is of any comfort regarding the lack of respect to Elvis in no family attending to receive the Medal of Freedom in the White House - please know I stood up in my living room and applauded, with tears running down my face during that ceremony for Elvis. I'm sure many fans all over the world did that. In heaven, I hope Elvis saw our standing ovation in his honor for that award. WE were there for him that day in the only way we could be. It would have been as meaningful to him, if not moreso, that the Jaycees Award he was presented with many years ago. Love our time together with you on these videos. Love from Washington state!❤

I was with you crying and screaming "where is Lisa?" I think it was because it was President Trump and he was not liked by a lot of the movie stars. So sad but I think politics were a big reason no one showed up. I did get to see it at the trophy building and I cried again. This was about the same as the "Helping Hands" award that Elvis was so proud of. Glad to hear others were in accord. Bless you

I hope that from the top of his celestial throne, Beloved ELVIS on the 16th _ November 2018 will not have suffered too much to see that no one from his family (except the Smith family who were not invited) was there for the presentation of the Medal!!! All this, because it was D Trump! /// HE who worked to die to provide for all their needs / SHAME / TLC /

I'm from New York 64 years old going on 65 and my grandmother saw Elvis at his one and only Madison Square Garden Show end the Nassau Coliseum! In 1992 I went on a cross-country motorcycle trip from New York to California and stop that Graceland and took a picture for my grandmother and after she passed I put it in her coffin with her

You’re describing my life in the 60’s and 70’s. My husband and I had an argument over whether we would go see Elvis open in Las Vegas in August 1970 or go to Woodlstock. We went to Woodstock but we met Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. But our best experience in life was meeting Elvis and talking with him a few times. I’ll never forget it. When he passed I thought I would die, we went to Graceland and stayed in Memphis for 3 days.

Jo, I loved the story about makeup and hair. In the late 60s I was in high school and perfected the cat's eye eyeliner. I used cake eyeliner because I never could get the liquid line straight. And I remember girls who ironed their hair because their hair was curly and they wanted to straighten it. I never did the beehive, but my mom did! Tons and tons of Aqua Net Hairspray. By the way, I love your hair now. It's absolutely beautiful.

If fans/viewers want to read genuine stories about Elvis, they should purchase the set of books by Donna Lewis, entitled “Hurry Home, Elvis.” The set is transcripts of her diaries, which she wrote as a teenager spending time at Graceland. Also Shirley Connell wrote about living in a house that shared the back fence with Graceland property in “The Man in My Backyard.” The Presidential Medal of Freedom package of awards is displayed a protected glass case in the “Elvis the Entertainer” of Elvis Presley’s Memphis. There is also lapel pin & tie clasp included in presentation box. The display case is in the center of the room. It is surrounded by his gold records & various other awards & trophies.

So disrespectful of her, but honestly I have researched so much material and met her once. Never felt she was feminine, sweet and demure like her Dad would have liked.
