What a beautiful story she told it made me so sad for Elvis, bless his heart nobody is following him now, he's at peace. You can tell this sweet little lady love's Elvis I almost cried with her. I'm happy Elvis was so good to her and showed her around, she has to have some of the most precious memorie's. The way she talked about Elvis and the love he had for everyone. He didn't discriminate he loved everyone he came across. He did thing's for so many people, it really touche's my heart. I wish he could've had a life like everyone else it just doesn't seem fair, he gave so much love but in the end of his life it was like everyone forgot him. Whatever he did it wasn't anyone else's business, I think the book probably hurt his heart so bad. Lovely lady, I'm loving the last few years we are hearing from people and family like Louise more as the typical Elvis "memphis mafia" type are passing away, I don't wish them bad but it's great to hear these stories from good people in his life... Like we have heard the story of the buying cars and the black lady he gave a car too, but we never heard that he had to get a ride back to Graceland by a stranger "Willie" and how he gave him a car the next day... Elvis was such a kind person always..

I moved to Memphis if not at that time, close to it. Elvis used to invite his friends to watch a movie at a Memphis theater. I met him one day, when he and a few men with him, inside a sporting goods store in Corinth, MS when I was shopping for a Christmas gift for my then husband. He was a very polite, soft spoken man and helped me choose a 22 rifle, as I knew nothing about them. It's been a long tome, but THINK mall was Southland Mall.

Thank you all for viewing this interview. I shot this in January at the old Clarion Hotel which is now the Travelodge. We had planned this interview for years and she finally said let's do it now so we went into a vendors area and shot it. I have some additional footage I shot of Miss Louise this past June at Tupelo Elvis Festival and a little at the Rock N Roll Cafe from July. Sadly, she passed away after having surgery at the end of Elvis Week. She was a wonderful lady and loved meeting and educating Elvis Presley fans. I will post more footage soon.

It never ceases to amaze me that some people think that Elvis would not walk or wait on someone. Elvis would absolutely wait on that man to finish his job. He would even ride trains & buses in the early years. He could also walk feely in Las Vegas the first time he went because he did not have a very good reception from the people back then. We are talking about the very first Elvis years. He was a very humble southern man and a gentleman. Although he did joke a lot with the guys and family.

I got to meet Mrs. Louise last May in Mississippi at a Ronnie McDowell and ETA. She is the sweetest lady. I talked to but only asked her how she was kin to Elvis. I didn't want to bother her with questions. We had our picture made together. She's a big fan and friend of Ronnie McDowell. He sang a song to her. I recorded it. Been trying to figure out how to get it to her. Ronnie is coming back to Mississippi in March and I hope Mrs. Louise will be there. If anyone knows how I can get this video to her I would appreciate it. I'll record it on a disc just in case she comes to Mississippi. I hope she does. I would love to see her and talk to her again. She really is a sweet lady. I enjoyed this interview. So glad to see she's feeling better. God Bless you Mrs. Louise.

Great interview! She made me tear up when her emotions showed through as she spike about the day Elvis passed. That was genuine, you can tell she loved Elvis! The most sad part was to hear her tell of the way Elvis felt about his freedom life. I understand that his fans loved him dearly but apparently not dearly enough to give him some freedom to breath and have some private life with his family and for himself!!! That is why he slept all day and stayed up all night!!! There is a difference in trying to get an autograph and people pretty much mugging you, ripping cloths off of him. Yes, I heard that story told(can't remember whom was being interviewed) Elvis got sighted out and a small group ran up screaming and carrying on when one person reached out to grab his clothing trying to rip off just a peice of what he was wearing!! Imo there is a difference in being a number one fan and someone that is mentally obsessed!!!!

I always thought I'd meet him.my mom was a Presley and I just found out we are in his bloodline.descendants of Andrew Presley.I am so happy to finally know.when he died I was 20. I was pushing my baby thru winn Dixie and radio announced his death.i almost fainted and started crying.i always felt related someway my family has music singing playing all over it.vrry uncanny oh,how we miss him.

I think "anyone" who grew up WITH Elvis or grew up on Elvis; will MOURN. . .Elvis' passing until the day. . .they also take their "last breath. I grew up in the 1950's, 1960's and was raised by an elderly (poor) couple, raised a huge garden, canned everything OR we'd have starved to death. As it's been stated so many times, the ADULTS knew they were (farmers) "poor", BUT so was everyone around "us". If he had not interrupted her when she started to talk about her LAST visit with Elvis just three weeks before Elvis passed away...she started to go into WHY that visit with Elvis in the jungle room was in her words 'just awful'....I wish he had just let her talk! They never mention where Elvis was upset that Martin Luther King was murdered in his home town of Mississippi and wanted to make a public statement about it but Elvis's manger Tom Parker said something like " No, it's politics, it's none of your business. Stay out of it." Nevertheless Elvis say If I Can Dream as a tribute to Dr. King and Civil Rights Movement. Why is this never mentioned ?

Outlaw Films: What a great interview! And Louise, what a nice, funny and kind Cousin in Law to Elvis! Loved her stories! Would have loved for you to have asked Louise to elaborate on what she meant by the last time, 2 weeks before Elvis's death, that she and Gene were at Graceland & Elvis came in and she said "it was bad". What was? Was he sickly or very tired, etc.? She dis say, however that Elvis knew who they all were and gave them all a hug. Maybe someone could figure out how possibly he could have been helped if they understood "the bad." Sounds like ya'll can get along very well!! Give her another call, she's loaded with wonderful memories!! She probably was able to meet many singers through Elvis or maybe actors too!! Worth a shot!! Thumbs up to you and Louise!!

I love her shirt, that was Elvis's logo taking care of business , anybody he loved he brought that lightning bolt with TCB on it in gold and diamonds , I would love to do a replica necklace but not golden real diamonds of course, LOL he must have bought her that shirt or she had it made memories of him, what is sweet lady she was where is I don't know if she's still alive I hope so, bless her heart should the word Elvis so did I but I didn't know him.

I wondered if he was "caught in a trap that he could not walk out"...so to speak. I wondered why people took advantage of him but people are not true for the most part. HI miss louise ! when i lived in Memphis we i used to sing a little with ken!! at graceland crossing we all used to go to Marlowes to eat anyways ...there was an incedent at marlowes one night as the group was eating it was involving two men..... one was shot on the outside on the sidewalk i was asked to take her home
