All these tutorials have been fantastic. I feel there's a really good game in here if Konami fix the bugs. It's a shame a lot of people are not willing to learn the new mechanics before writing this game off. If it didn't release in such a mess I think more would be enjoying the good parts.

Thanks for the brilliant tutorial! Nice highlighting of the key points. I felt that, in 2022, Konami chose to shoot for a more realistic simulation game, where positioning, passing cut-off and exploitation of inertia are way more important than just holding the sprint for racing. Although, I do feel the teammates' AI could be further improved (Sometimes, my cursor is on my containing player, but my teammate doesn't even react when the ball passes him by closely and slowly). Anyway, I like the realistic aspects introduced. There's still hope to polish it into a great game. Looking forward to the upcoming updates.

no 2nd press button unfortunately. but teammate will auto press if you use matchup button(X) long enough.

Weirdthing though, if u press n hold sprint with directional input(L Stick) the currently controlled defender moves to coverpassing lane, i repeat, despite zero directional input, holding sprint puts him into pass blocking position. İ Wonder if it has an advantage over sprint+directional+x. Holding sprint alone wont block passes like the x button does for sure but i bet it has some advantages that i have not noticed yet

but it does not cover/move all the time. the player will stand still after holding only sprint button for a while. so still need to use LS after that.

L2 is buggy now. i dont think i will cover that until they fix it. its kinda like the press button (x) in previous pes but need to use it with left stick

there is 2nd press button but your teammate(AI) will auto press if the attacker takes time to dribble. use quick counter or possession tactic for high pressing

It seems the match-up button now is broken in 2.2.0 update that was just released on 17 Nov 2022. It is doing nothing, the player stays in place and without moving the player with LS, the player does absolutely nothing

its suppose to be that way. match up is to intercept and tackle player, not auto defend

the tackling is more manually done in efootball 22 then as in pes 21 or fifa which uses automatic
