For veteran players , PES 2021 feels like the old FINAL EVOLUTION versions of Winning Eleven titles, looks the same as PES 2020 BUT the game play has been vastly improved with better response, more fluid animations and a more enjoyable gameplay.Considering that you can buy a PC Key for 15€ , it's a no brainer , with patches to licence all the teams it is an incredible football game

For many of us it's about creating an experience in which we connect to this pretend but hopefully somewhat realistic game world. The reincarnation of players doesn't allow us to achieve this. Also not 'gibberish names' just completely newly generated young players as you find in most sports games likes FIFA, Football Manager, NBA 2k, madden etc. Pes is one of the only ones who don't do this

I heard there is a geographical limitation on who I can play with. I have a friend who lives abroad and would like to play with him. Will I be able to do that with PES 2021? Pes 20 probably looked better than it's ever looked last year but the gameplay had a ton of problems, maybe this reviewer is mostly an offline player. Playing online can be infuriating when your players ignore the ball or quite often even run away from it, player switching is something they don't seem to be able to get right as well. So yeah far from perfect but still easily the best football game on the market.

What platform do you play the game with? If you are playing on PC, there are 2 kinds of fans' modification patches/updates, the option file type and the cpk patch type. Option file is great for people who plays both the offline and the online features (it has online compatibility) of the game, but it's limited or lacks in features such as number of additional leagues, player database, modded actual player faces, additional modded shoes, balls, gloves, etc. If you only prefer playing the offline such as career mode (master league, become of legend) I recommend you to use the cpk patch type. It's way more complete in features than option file. But it lacks online compatibility. You mostly can't use this two type of modifications together (for the league structures, player database, and kit database). The popular/best option files for option files modification in PC are the PES Universe OF and the Evoweb Patch OF. The popular/best cpk type patch modification in PC are the Smoke Patch and Virtua Red Patch. I myself use the Smoke Patch for the last 4 years.

The gameplay is 100 percent not the same this year that's one thing I can confirm. Not actually sure what they have done but it feels very glitchy currently. Player movement is very weird, framerate dropping everywhere on ps4, just a hist of very strange gameplay changes that have made the game worse. I have 20 and 22 installed so can switch between the two. They will probably patch it but no idea why they touched the gameplay at all.

@@ELL107JB I partially agree. But I think they should've updated the game through DLC content. But that's not what this is. They have physical copies for £25 on Amazon which isn't worth the price being charged for essentially the same game as last year that can be found for half that price brand new (even less preowned)
