Efren is in my opinion the greatest pool player in the world. However, some of his "greatest shots" weren't intended. Anyone who has played has had their share of "Oh God thank goodness something dropped" moments. I think one or two here qualifies.

efren has stated he prefers no call shot so he can get lucky. from what i can tell, the luck he's able to generate has made him one of the best and is another reason why he is so popular. so unfortunately, but fortunately, he is lucky, but he engineers that luck. i would agree with efren that luck shots should be celebrated, because call shot games have become so rigid and technical nowadays. call shot is more rigorous, but less fun to watch. where is the fun if everyone plays with their hand face up? i would bet he is able to call all the 'lucky' kicks that made balls, but we would be removing the ability to play two balls, and if you play the strict way, you can't play two way shots either. lucky combos are for sure too low probability to call regularly, but luck is ultimately even for both players.

wingmanalive in documentary of efren, he said he watch a inexperience person play, specially the lucky shots.. a he studied it, mostly the speed of the cue ball....
