I played Efren in 2017; the game was the best three out of five in nine ball. Of course he beat me and I enjoyed it. - - - If you are ever in the Huntsville Alabama area just stop by Steve's Cue and Grill - - - as you walk in you will see a picture of Efren and I on the left just outside the entrance of my cue repair shop - - - I'm there every week, if I'm not in my shop just walk up to the bar and look to your right - - - I am normally setting at the first table having coffee or unsweetened tea if I am not teaching someone how to shoot pool - - - if you shoot pool, since I own all the Diamond pool tables in the bar, the table time will be on me and I will let you break!

I think it’s ridiculous to say Efron humbled, Strickland. People seem to forget Earl had the greatest decade in the history of Pool while playing a game at a level no one ever seen before or have seen since. Then his challenge with bipolar disease had an obvious effect on his game. The years that Effron started to beat was not the same earl that won three world championships and five US opens and ran 11 straight racks in a row in a sanctioned tournament. Which is absolute genius. Earl had his gift taken from him Too early. His inability to play at the level he used to play is I think the reason why his frustration cannot be controlled. Exact same thing happened to Stephen Hendry in snooker for different reasons. Not all players are meant to last. No one has ever played at the level that Earl did during that 10 year stretch.😅

Earl grows on you with time. When I first got into the game I hated that man I thought he was the worst sportsman I’ve ever seen. Overtime I realized earl has some mental issues and is doing his bests he has had a rough go in his older years but thank god SVB earl is his favorite so that helped him. Efren is the GOAT no doubt but back in the day you would have been hard pressed to find someone to break a rack of 9 ball like earl can. Wonderful wonderful sport this is. 👍👍

Reyes has nerves of steal. This is for sure, but at the same time, has a lot of help. He learned never, if ever possible, to miss a straight-in shot. Another thing that Reyes has helped with is ensuring the cue ball is always left in the center of the table. And this, one of the most effective tricks that the magician has up his sleeve is to no matter what never leave the opponent an easy shot. Blocks must be solid. If you can do these things, you will work on the most difficult shots you could ever imagine having. The rest is luck. And you can see when luck happens, and it's always the other player that needs it. Mr. Reyes is a humble and generous man. Mr. Reyes's sole and only objective at the start is to run the table. If you never miss a turn in the road, with focus, you can do it again and again. Your aim will be true. If I can remain humble, and without luck, could I take on Efren Reyes someday? But that would be the "day." I enjoyed watching the magic. Thanks for the video.
