What I particularly like about De Efteling is the beautiful music during the rides, especially those composed by Ruud Bos (Villa Volta, Droomvlucht, Fata Morgana and Vogelrok).

According to their website it should be possible to book rooms in the Efteling hotels excluding the park entrance fee if you have a season pass. They even say you'll get an additional discount of up to 25%.

Interesting! We were told that wasn’t an option when we called to try and do a regular booking but without ticket cost. Maybe we will try again soon and see if we can find that on the website for reference. Thanks for the info! 🙏🏼

Danse Macabre will be like a Sirocco based platform, but this disk can be move diagonaly and lifted up to 3 meters high and 3 meters of depth (6m total difference) and can have a freefall.. (experience based it is a Sirocco x Villa Volta)

Loved the vlog! Although Holle Bolle Gijs asks for paper, you can put any trash in his mouth. 😊 The fairy swing in front of Droomvlucht is a seasonal addition for the summer, just like the big Djinn-puppet over by Fata Morgana. Some additional entertainment for the busier summer season.

Regarding Pinocchio's Monstro being a fish here. The whale is a Disney invention. Sadly their version of fairytales often make for the generally known version. For instance, the poison apple is the third and final attempt of the Evil Queen on Snow White's life. The first two are a deadly comb and corset. Frozen meanwhile is hardly recognisable from the orignal story.

Yes we are definitely aware that they change quite a bit. It’s been interesting going back and reading original texts. Takes time, but we have been slowly starting to go through them. Haven’t gotten to Pinocchio yet though so now really curious to read that one! Will prioritize it next! 🙏🏼

The thing to know when pronouncing Dutch is that "ij" is a vowel. It sounds a bit like "eye". That doesn't apply to "sprookjesbos" though since there is no i. On its own "j" is a consonant that sounds like the y in English.

Hi guys nice to see your back! Grand Hotel was supposed to open in 2024, but because the factory that was responsible for the walls has gone bankrupt it’s now 2025. But I go almost every week and it’s crazy how fast they are going. Ohh the giant is called Djin, he’s the one watching all the gold in Fata Morgana! He’s a friendly giant 😊. Before covid Efteling was open in summer till midnight so you could see Aquanura in the dark. I would say for that you have to come and get this amazing experience for WinterEfteling. It’s dark at 5 in the afternoon. At summerbeach the pink cottage you were checking its were you can meet Pardijntje, the girl of Pardoes 😊😂. I love you checking out if someone is home 😂😂😂. Ohhh Efteling museum everything is original. The probs you see they were used for serval rides. The drawings are original sketches so you can see how they kept to the original design. The show you saw was founder of Efteling! You can see and here about how Anton Pieck started Efteling and what we have now 😊! Sorry if I’m rambling but you are asking so many things 😊😂! I loved your vlog again, can’t wait to see more of your videos

Ohhh Danse Macabre you said so…opening October 31st. So yes Halloween. I’m going to be at the opening. Can’t wait. You know in Danse Macabre you are sitting in a bench and you can check out a video of Efteling which will show you what it’s like. Up and down 3mtrs and spinning around….can’t wait to experience this ride

The water ride and the whole area around was closed for a long time and was practically fully rebuild.The Flying Dutchman had an lift hill upgrade.Fata Morgana has been inspired by 1001 nights and is on the roll for a mayor refurbishment it has been practically running since the start and apart from some fix ups and it shows it the figures stop working on a fairly high frequency so i cant wait for it to be fixup and repaired and improved. Efteling does a great job on keeping the feel pretty consistent with refurbs they make small changes and improve the reliability. And the train not riding was due to the new regulations about what you exhaust out of vehicles and in general. So they have fixed one atm but soon they gonna go for a refurb and become electric which is a shame but they have told that the electric ones will still feel similar. The car ride that the car was from still exist its in the park still they have upgraded it from the no sound and movements when i was a kid to a more upgrade version but still fun with kids. And the monorail is in the land of laaf a group of naughty creatures that came through a hole and came out inside the efteling in one of the homes the hole is still there. At least thats a background story. Ravelijn is gonna change/get removed its still unknown but its know something is gonna change into that area.

From our outside view, it looked really fun! And we have noticed that Efteling really puts full effort in and is an extremely consistent park!! @@coasterchroniclesofficial So you probably already heard through the grapevine, but Ravelijn became a bit controversial due to some accidents with riders, a fire that broke out, and some animal rights activists putting on a disturbance/protest. Word on the streets is that there will be some sort of walk-through attraction happening in the arena of Ravelijn in the future. The horse show will have to go. Fun fact; the buildings in the back of the set of Ravelijn is where all the office space for the Efteling is located.

The work in progress is not the princess and the pea area but the new hansel and grettl version. They have picked the location for the princess and the pea but it is not build yet or in progress that will start after the summer I believe

The company that Efteling contracted for making the concrete prefab structure went belly up. So that's why the opening of the Hotel is delayed by 6 months (or so).

Efteling released the new making of (part 6) of Danse Macabre today (should have English subs available) And this year is the last year Raveleijn will have this show setup, due to some technical issues and complaints from PETA like groups they will turn it into a walkthrough experience, the stages/tribune will disappear *rumored, Efteling likes not to tell to much about future plans

It's always nice to see reviews coming from people from abroad being genuinely interested in this theme park. A lot of/most Dutch people consider Efteling as a national treasure. A childhood memorie for generations! I don't have much more info to contribute except for the pronunciation of Sprookjesbos. Sprookjesbos means Fairytaleforest. (nothing to do with ice cream. 😄🍦😋🙁) The 'ook' is pronounced as the ok as in 'okay', 'jes' sounds like yes/yus and 'bos' as in, well yeah, Boston 😅 obviously. 🌲🍄Sprookjesbos🍄🌲 Keep up your lovely videos! ❤️

There's a new fairy tale being added to the Forest. The princess and the pea. Anywhoozle she couldn't sleep bc of 1 pea under a substantial number of matrasses, proving she was a true princess.

The Efteling Grand Hotel is being made prefab and then assembled on site with detailing and decorating happening simultaneously with the inside , which is why it's being erected so quickly. The idea was to minimize the construction time since it is in the entrance area, and to save on costs making it prefab. Ironically the company building the parts/walls for the hotel went bankrupt, causing a massive delay and a big rise in the cost. On the plus side, efteling is opening a new Fairytale simultaneously that ties in with the hotel. namely The Princess on the pea.
