Does this particular shifter prevent 1…2….1 shifting? I know there another version with the button on top. That doesn’t allow a shift know change and I like to occasionally change my shift knobs.

I've been contemplating getting this shifter. I've come across people having issues shifting while driving if they don't have solid motor mounts. This would be a good chance to try it with the soft oem mounts you have.

Any shifter designer who thinks deleting the torque rod on a 90’s Honda shift linkage is a good idea, doesn’t understand what makes 90’s Honda shifters so great. Most of that side to side play is likely due to a wallowed out bitch pin hole in the linkage, or wear in the selector rod inside the gearbox itself. A Tyrannosaur Tightener in place of the bitch pin would likely help out in that regard. But that torque rod maintains distance between the shifter and drivetrain, making it feel more like a RWD gearbox shifter.

Keep the b16 and put the gsr in the hatch. You'll get more money for a built motor than a stock gsr. And a stock gsr will be fun enough in that light eg hatch.
