The people who won have never won before, never even been in the final before. The people who lost won their first ever final last year. It's two new up-and-comers replacing the stale old guard and offering new hope for the league, basically. So that's largely why people are excited.

@@Arkaine197 nice! Not trying to start an argument but what region in League is the powerhouse? I'm interested to watch the next major that has all the regions involved.

@@Dying4pie2180 the lck (Korea) and the lpl (China) are the best region's, they play really early though so you might want to start with the lec (Europe) and the lcs (NA)

@@Dying4pie2180 The top spot pretty much just goes back and forth between China and Korea, sometimes Europe can be competitive but they haven't won a world championship in over 10 years now, although they've gotten close a few times. But each region has it's own quirks and energy that make it worth watching. If you're wanting an international tournament they basically only run two per year there's the smaller MSI which as luck would have it is starting in two weeks on the 10th of May and should take about two weeks. Then there's the World Championship, which is usually around September/October time, has about triple the number of teams invited and goes on for a whole month.

Wait what is stopping the players from listening to the commentators? They are so close to them! The commentator's voices are being played on the speaker for the crowd!! The commentators many times talk to us about what is happening in the fog of war for the enemy team, things the enemy shouldn't know about!!! Can the players hear the commentators or not it seems super important! 1:25:23 is an example, he says "Trundle heading down". Like they wouldn't have known that until he said that!
