I heard your music on Instagram and have been listening to your tunes since then. Every morning, during meditation, and before I go to sleep. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have heard. Being an Indian myself, I love Sitar, Tabla, and flute. And your combination of three is far beyond of what I can explain in words. Please continue making such awesome music!!

Thank you very much Harshita! Your words mean a lot to me! I feel blessed to be able to play music during many yoga classes and events around San Francisco. Being able to play and record on the beach is wonderful, thanks to OutdoorYogaSF. All the yogis, the sunshine and the movement inspire me as I improvise using Classical Indian Ragas/techniques and play around with effects and digital elements. Check me out on Spotify, iTunes and SoundCloud also I have plenty more recording out on those platform.

If I may know what is the Tune for your main strings on a scale of C
@egesan67 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words! I tune the sitar in C#, the HAPI drum is in A, the flute is in G#.

Thank you. I was actually interested in knowing the Key's your main strings are in from 1st to 7th. I've been using a Ravi shankar set of 1st: F 2nd: C/C# 3rd:G 4th: C 5th: G 6th: C 7th: C

Ahh I see. This is indeed based on Ravi Shankar style tuning. 1) F#, 2) C#, 3) G#, 4) C#, 5) G#, 6) C#, 7) C# I've done some research on this and found out more old school players including Ravi Shankar played on C# but more and more players are using D tuning. I like C# because I get more response from the sympathetic strings and there is also evidence that C# is the resonant tone of the Earth. I find it to be very grounding.

Perfect, thank you so much; It sounds so good with the sharps! I feel that grounding effect too! Now I just need to get the fret placement just right. I pray that you get an abundance of gigs to support the continued expression of your gifted awesomeness.

I love that! Thank you! We have something in the works with Madhu. Hoping to release it in February. I'll be all in Sanskrit but the vibe will be similar to Body of Ecstasy.
