If there is no veins after 6 days it's spoiled it's just eggshells because of extra calcium and hormones in the female's body ........ if it's not hatched after 24 days it's early hatchling death ......... it's depends on the pigeon species , egg temperature , humidity level and hatchling strength opening eggshells .......... one pigeon egg on my window took 23 days to hatch , don't candle the egg after 17 days you won't see any thing because the embryo so big it's takes all the space making the eggshells so dark

Hello! Before like 10 days my rosella parrot hatched an egg. When I check it now I see only one yellow thing ( i think this is the yolk) When i candle the egg this yolk is moving as I rotate the egg to see better ( It kinda swims to the top) There are no veins... Does that means that the egg is unfertilized? (Yes, I have male parrot)

Even after 10 days of brooding, if the yolk is moving and no veins are developed then that means either it was not brooded properly or it was unfertilised.

Around 15-16 days, the live eggs slowly become so dark to the point where even if you candle them, you can’t see anything inside. Especially when the egg is about to hatch the eggs become completely dark so don’t mistake them for spoiled eggs. One point to note is that, it’s better not to candle eggs after 12 days.
