Hi Cathal, I’m wondering if the sun ever shines for the ENTIRE day in Ireland ? I live in the state Minnesota , USA. Here we get -30degrees Fahrenheit during the Winter and for the cherry on top we have very few Solar Days , days with more sun than clouds, throughout the year. Now that I mentioned the cold winters, our sweltering summers deserve recognition. 90% humidity on days reaching 95 degrees Fahrenheit. We can thank our 15,000 lakes and endless swamps /bogs. But we’re a leader in our country in term of agriculture. Super great farmland.

Hi Cathal great finished article, intrigued about the rules for no other animals in free ranging area, the emi in England didn’t tell us that! Really looking forward to seeing the hens in and it all working, best Paul

Hi Cathal, egg mobile is looking great. How many hens were you permitted to hold in the Ridgedale egg mobile? I'm half way through my own RD egg mobile build down here in New Zealand and curious to see what they permit in Ireland. Keep up the good work.

it would depend on the specific design but a rough number would be 100 free range 70 organic

@@heatherhillfarm1303 thanks Cathal. I'm sure that Richard Perkins keeps upward of 350 hens in his. Seems like quite a lot but maybe quite different rules in Sweden.

Were you inspected previously? If this is the first time you've been inspected, how have you avoided inspection to date? Did they make any comment on whether they want egg production to go in this direction or are they more anti small scale and pro industrial scale?
