I feel that running it under water for 2 mins would be such a waste of water. Be better to fill a bowl w ice water and then back in the thing to shake the shells. But loved it!

I absolutely adore my Copper Chef egg cooker. $14.88 at Walmart and does up to 14 eggs. Does hard-boiled, soft-boiled,poached and even omelets!

The main things for me are they cook faster than my electric egg cooker, they are not messy like the single silicone egg pods that have to be cracked and then boiled, and the shell peels right off when using this Egg Pod. It’s the greatest and very precise with no “green ring” around the inside of your egg from overcooking. The yolk tastes like no other and - the shell slips right off without a struggle losing most of the egg when peeling the shell away. . That’s the most impressive part for me as I always struggled with getting that shell off. Lol. I absolutely love this Egg Pod over my electric egg cooker especially the 9 mins vs. 16 mins cook time. So you must try this perfect egg cooker. I just hope they make one that can cook at least 6 eggs. 👍🏽 I give this item a 10!! 👏🏽

You can do the same damn thing with a Pyrex bowl, water, put in microwave with a microwave cover, microwave, remove from microwave, cool with running water, remove, roll eggs on clean surface, run water, remove shells - and BAM, same thing and No New Gadget!

cooking an egg to your perfect 'doneness' is not just putting an egg in boiling water, unless you like them like my mother; boiled forever! These pod things work pretty good for soft boiled eggs, with a little trial and error.

I like this gadget because when I boil eggs I’m always paranoid that they didn’t cooks all the way. So I usually over cook them. Still good but not as pretty. Those cooked perfectly! Thank Vivian. May have to pick this up.

As a side note, the ease of peeling hard boiled eggs are greatly dependent on the age of the eggs. Super new/fresh eggs are a lot harder to peel vs eggs close to the expiration date are a lot easier. For those who dont want to buy a gadget to make eggs but want easy peel eggs, boil the eggs with some baking soda. It helps put air/space between egg and shell so they come out and will be very easy to peel regardless of the age.

Hey Vivian, this is actually a very old product renewed. I've owned a NordicWare version of this product, which looks nearly identical to this one, and have owned it for at least 10 years. This design has been updated to lock and has handles, but otherwise it's identical. I don't use it often because I don't often make hard boiled eggs. I also find that it's almost impossible to make soft boiled eggs in this. The microwave cooks eggs so fast that you're pretty much limited to hard boiled. Occasionally an egg will explode, but with the locks on this one that won't be nearly as messy as the non-locking NordicWare version. Oh, and thanks for the video which is as entertaining as always. 😀🔥

Hi Vivian I love your videos. One major problem...if everyone who buys this runs their water for 2 mins, will be wasting hundreds of millions of gallons of water !!! Not a good use of resources.
