Hey Vivian I don’t know where you got the information of the coating coming off of the phone if you use Clorox wipes but that’s actually false. Mark Rover (great KZbinr like yourself) actually had one of his good friends test that theory for a whole year and she debunked that claim. I don't think anyone's commented that Ultraviolet light is invisible to most humans. At first, when Vivian turned on her phone's camera to see if the light was working, I was like: that's really smart. Then I remembered that you can't see UV light rays! Oh well. Short-wave ultraviolet light DOES sterilize surfaces with which it comes into contact. So, that IS true. We can't see UV rays less than 400 nanometers; disinfection and decontamination of surfaces happen around mid-200 nm. However, since microorganisms can be shielded from UV rays in small cracks and other shaded areas, UV lights are used only as a supplement to other sterilization methods.

Hi Vivian, I was curious to see if that would work. I think the technology is sound, because I have a similar style sanitizer for my hearing aids, which has ultraviolet light and it sanitizes and dehumidifies them. It looks like a smaller version of that one, but I can see the blue light come on when I close the lid. (Too bad it my phone won't fit in there, it's a good idea that I hadn't thought of.) I paid $75 CAD on sale from my audiologist, normally they cost $125. I've seen them for more on Amazon. I trust my audiologist as he uses these in his practice. So probably that phone sanitizer for $29.95 is either a cheap knock-off, or like you said, maybe you just got a dud. But thanks for continuing to do these videos during these crazy times when we are stuck at home. You are a bright spot in a stressful time and it felt really good to smile.

Hey Vivian, luv your video. Always, informative and entertaining. I had to ask. Does it give you the option to choose the color of the sanitizing and charging device? Because not only is it false advertisement on the 5min sanitizing of your phone, lol but it's not white in color, doesn't have the multiple lights on the inside, it doesn't have the multi holes for the essential oils if you wanted too and it didn't have the progress lights on the front like in the commercial, lol. I'm a literal person, lol. So if you show me and it says it's supposed to have something and do something, I expect to see it. I'm so thankful that you test this stuff and gives us the truth. Again, luv your videos and keep up the good work. God bless 😊

Hospitals do not use UV for general disinfection, they use Ethylbenzyl Ammonium Chloride, Dimethyl Benzyl Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, & Chlorine. At very best they may use UV for tool disinfection, UV loses its disinfecting ability a mere 2 inches from the UV light. It's relatively ineffective for disinfecting rooms.
