When you make a lot of ice cream you end up with too much egg whites in your inventory. So these puddings are a perfect way to reuse them! Think about it ;-) Check out the other recipes on our website :

Ingredients : 6 pudding
- 3 egg whites (about 100g)
- 3 tbsp white sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 5 tbsp heavy cream
- 350ml milk
For the caramel sauce
- 4 tbsp brown sugar (60g)
- 1 1/2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp boiled water
Quand on fait beaucoup de glaces on finit par accumuler des blancs d'oeufs a ne plus savoir qu'en faire. Ces petits flans sont une parfaite solution a ce probleme! Gardez les dans un coin de votre tête ;-) Retrouvez toutes les recettes de notre site :

Ingrédients :
- 3 blancs d'oeufs
- 3 cs de sucre blanc
- 2 cs de sirop d'érable
- 5 cs de crème fluide
- 350ml de lait
Pour la sauce façon caramel
- 4 cs de sucre brun (50 to 60g)
- 1 1/2 cs d'eau
- 1 cs d'eau bouillie

I just tried this recipe because I had some egg whites left from making flan. I must say it came out great! Very silky and creamy

I made this but I haven't wrapped the foil around the jars tightly enough and some of the water dripped inside. Because of this the consistency was a little odd but the flavour was very good so I definitely will try making them again!

I wonder if you could make this but cut back on sugar? It looks delicious but maybe some dehydrated fruit instead of syrup/Carmel? Anybody have any ideas?

Very good recipe. I have tried once and the result was very close. The difference was that it produced some water on te sides of the container and its smell wasnt very pleasing. Any ideas what could be the reason?

@@tobiasesperon8990 Then could you please check that your aluminium foil is tightly closed on top and around your cups? It sounds like drips of condensed steam are somehow finding their way into the cups.

do you know what you can use instead of thr maple sirup? is for example honey or sugar an optional substitute?

Hello, I think honey is ok, or like vanilla syrup (monin) otherwise, you can add 2 tbsp milk (add a little bit sugar)..🙂

Hello, I am not sure if you can bake as I did not try. Otherwise you can use a frying-pan to steam🙂

I use a steam oven, my lowest is 50 degrees would that work?

Ok 🙋 in this case how about making the pudding without any sauce, then when you serve pour chocolate on top? ✅ Otherwise the chocolate will harden in the fridge 🧊

Hello, i got them from a shop in Japan... I suppose any other will do, just make sure to get heatproof ones 😊

If you do not like whipping cream, you could try to use milk or coconut milk. Having said that, I have not tried so I am not sure what the resulting texture will be like...❓ Worth a try anyway 😊

Can you describe the taste in comparison to using the whole egg? I make a similar recipe using the whole egg. One of my roommates now can't have the yokes, and I was thinking of trying your recipe. Just wondering how it tastes comparatively.

it's significantly lighter than a whole egg pudding so it's easier to eat. And the taste is closer to milk. But still light. If that makes sense 😊

Hello, if you don't like maple syrup, you can skip this. YOu can add milk instead of it for example...Have a nice weekend!

Just made this. Taste is good but the pudding not smooth like yours. I steam 55 minutes, is it too long? Pudding became crack not smooth. Please advise. Thank you

Hello, I recommend you to simmer with the smallest gas cooktop with low heat to have silky and smooth. The cooking time might need to adjust😃

@@joycelisa28Not necessary. I ussually do 45 to 50 min. Once the top of the pudding is not melting when you shake ( as video ), it is done. I hope it will work🙂

The texture is quite soft so I suspect it would be nearly impossible to take it out of the dish nicely 🤔. Eating directly from the dish maybe ok.

Do you have honey or vanilla syrup instead? Otherwise you might need to add 1 tbsp white sugar.

@@wasKitchen but when steaming it exploded on me the fire is low why it still explodes on me😞, will try it again tomorrow try to leave a open on the cover part

Oh really? Are you on lowest heat *and* on your smallest fire? If it gets bubbly it was probably too strong a fire. Please try on smaller fire 🙏

Yes you can, just make sure you heat it long enough to caramelize well. Enjoy making ☺️

I am afraid I never tried. I suppose if it is oven, a very low temperature.
