RASMALAI Cake recipe for special occasions . This is a foolproof recipe which I make again and again for our special Sunday afternoon teas. It's a family favorite, I hope you enjoy it too!
Here's what you need:
For the cake:

All purpose flour - 1 and 1/2 cups (190 g)
Milk powder - 4 tbsp
Powdered sugar - 1 cup (125 g)
Hot milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
Butter - 1/4 cup (57 g)
Saffron - few strands
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
White vinegar - 2 tsp
For the malai/rabdi:

Milk - 500 ml (2 1/4 cups)
Saffron - few strands
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
For the topping:
---------------------------
Whipping cream / Double cream - 500 ml
Powdered sugar - 2 tbsp
Yellow food color - 1/2 tsp
Pistachio nuts - 25g
