Wow, this mod goes above and beyond from the typical "character in Sonic 3". This has actually custom boss fights, cutscenes, altered level design(with some nice music as well), and a totally new play style. No typical person ever goes THIS ambitious. Awesome job, Triangly!

I was the level designer. The main goal was to bring you variability in how you can get through the stage, there are many ways to do that. Can you find the fastest one? Maybe Knuckles can be playble! Maybe you can have Knuckles along with his own campaign telling his side of the story in Sonic 3! Maybe some of his boss fights could be him fighting Sonic! The zones that could make sense for a Sonic fight would be Angel Island 1, Marble Garden 1, Launch Base 2, Lava Reef 2, and Hidden Palace.

Holy crap. I've wanted something like this since I first had Sonic 3 all those years ago; it intensely bothered a younger me that you could make him delete your files but you could not play as him. I even had dreams about it. Seeing it apparently become a reality 26 years later (give or take) may have brought a tear. I have not seen the animation this was based on, so I only just learned about it all today. Guess I have some cool stuff to check out.

This is super cool! Almost feels like less of a Sonic game and more of a traditional platformer now! I think that those powerup icons could be simplified to better express what they'll do though. Maybe for the MGZ mech, it could just show the drill and an arrow or something.

By simply switching the character, they made Sonic a traditional 2d platformer, making the whole game a new experience. Not many people can do that. Hell, they even changed the bosses. Congratulations, you made Sonic an entirely new experience.

It seems that after Sonic defeated Robotnik in space , Robotnik tried conquer Angel Island again . But he didn't expect Tails to be there and turn his Badniks into "Tail-niks"(Badniks who were reproggramed by Tails to be good) .

@@Triangly What i mean is like will we still go to places like mushroom hill lava reef exctra, or if some zones no longer fit into the story, new custom zones to fill out the roster so it still has the lenth/ feel of a full game. honestly i think replacement levels would be a nice touch and worth the extra effort. mostly just it still has that weight of a full game get what im putin down?

The mod is discontinued because the programmer decided to leave Sonic fanbase (and pretty much Internet itself afaik). The page wasn't created by me so I can't do anything with that. I'll probably hide this video few days later
