Are there any e bikes on the market that I could get already built without a battery?? Then buy your adapter and use the three ego batteries that I already own..

Just ordered. Looking to use this with TSDZ2 motor kit, Jerrie mentions in the video the danger of over-discharge. TSDZ2 has open-source firmware, so over-discharge prevention capabilities can be supported.

I commute with ego batteries every day. Yesterday , I didn’t remember how long ago I charged it, and it still felt strong. So I strapped an extra battery onto my rear rack. A day later, on the commute home, I felt a little sag. So I stopped and swapped them. It is the closest I have come to a dead battery in 4 years.

Is the reverse possible ? I have many Ebike batteries bothe 48&52v but my ego battery is bad. I’d like to use a Ebike battery to power my ego leaf blower. Do you sell an adapter for this application. My batteries have the xt60 connections.

Being that the Ego batteries have low amps, I would assume you get lots of questions about wiring in parallel. Also, since Ego batteries are assumed to be discharged by an Ego device, I would assume you get lots of discharge related questions.

Mine wouldn’t charge so had use my universal charger now just bought booster converter 15£ goes tom60volts from 12v from my power supply bench or use in campervan from 12volts supply

Generally speaking 1ah = 1 mile, with a little to no pedal assist.

no, it is typical to use a 52V battery with a 48, this is slightly higher but within the range-

Ego batteries are 14s packs and are the same as a 52v ebike battery. Ego just labels them as 56v batteries. They are exactly the same voltage. One can use a 52v ebike battery on Ego power tools as well, if the ebike battery can handle the amperage draw.

Always better to have circurt breaker but not necessary, ebike speed controller has protection built-in.

I am using an Echo 58v battery carriage for my Bafang electric bike. However, Echo just came out with a new battery (56v, same as Ego voltage) and a completely new and different form factor. I'm trying to find a battery adapter for the new Echo 56v batteries, which are now available in 5 amp hours. Echo batteries are more compact and mount to my bike much better than Greenworks or Ego batteries. Can you offer an Echo 56v adapter anytime soon? Echo is discontinuing their excellent 58v batteries , their new form factor is based on the 56v eForce batteries.

Yes. Ego batteries are 14s pack. Meaning in the ebike world, they are considered a 52v ebike battery. A 48v kit should be able to handle anywhere from 60v-80v. It mostly depends on the controller.

Ego 56v can work directly with 48v to52v ebike systems. Sounds like your scooter is lower voltage than that. You may need to change speed controller as well.

They are 14s packs. The charger charges these batteries at 58.8v. Just like a 52v ebike battery. A fully charged 14s pack battery will be at 57v-58.8v fully charged.

It's solid once slide in. Millage depends on the size of battery. Roughly speaking, 1ah=1 mile.

As long as your controller can handle the voltage. I’ve seen 144v custom ebike builds. But only for the experience ebike builders. These builds are in the motorcycle speed range.

It’s a lithium battery, it’s designed to do exactly this. To drive a motor at a high discharge. Lithium batteries are used in electric cars, power tools, etc. It’s not going to void any warranty. These batteries are compatible and well within the specs of a 48v ebike.
