EGO Commercial PGX Charging System and PGX charging Bank
In this video, EGO Commercial introduces its latest innovation-the PGX Charging System, a versatile and scalable charging solution designed to meet the specific needs of professional landscapers and commercial businesses.
The PGX system is built around the powerful 1600W Commercial Charging Hub, which can be installed in any building, van, or trailer using a standard 15-amp, 120-volt outlet, eliminating the need for costly infrastructure upgrades. The hub connects to 3-Port Charging Docks, allowing up to 70 EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries to be fully charged overnight.
EGO also offers off-grid charging with the PGX Power Bank, a 2.2kWh battery system that can recharge smaller handheld batteries in the field, ensuring maximum productivity during the workday.

Rob, building on our previous conversation, imagine that big 30Ah Ego battery (1.5kWh) with a solar inverter built into it; that’s pretty much what I was talking about. I use the Ecoflow Delta 2 Max on my jobsite, which is a 2kWh battery with 1000W (2x500W) solar input and a 2400W AC inverter. You could easily run four Ego fast chargers simultaneously on that single battery inverter and have it constantly topping off with solar. I think that setup would work great for a small two person landscape crew, and would be scalable for larger crews. EF makes expansion batteries and larger inverters too if my model isn’t big enough, and something tells be they may even be cheaper than Ego’s batteries $/kWh. They won’t work in their commercial riding mowers… but for keeping the handheld tools and push mowers running I think it would be pretty effective.

@@superspeeder now that I know where you’re coming from I agree with you for a small crew of two or even a one-man show. You could absolutely take care of all your needs with Solar. I don’t even charge all of my batteries in a day sometimes I go several days without charging.

@@christianalvarez7799 I’m not disagreeing that it’s an expensive investment, but it is an investment. When you invest in your tools, you should be pricing your jobs accordingly to pay for your investment and to make money. We’re in business to make money.

I just bought the EGO vacuum, and love it, other than it came with a small battery. The first EGO I purchased was their 28 snow blower, have not yet got enough snow for testing, it came with 2 12 Ah batteries. I plan on looking at the mini bike, yet it comes with 2 7.5 batteries, I wish you could choose which battery you wanted,,,

I agree, it would make it easier to build a system if you could just buy the battery you needed!

$24.99 for that seems reasonable. The way the guy throws the cost around like it's chump change. And that will only be good for two 7.5 AH batteries. I'll need to spend $100.00 just to do a day's work, even before the tools. And we all know that those $24.99 batteries will last the two-year warranty.

These batteries are costing too much.

@@saulgoodman2018 I think the smartest thing to do is to integrate your tools, a little at a time, investing into one particular manufacturers platform. I do know that local state and federal governments are offering, rebates for landscapers and arborist that are swapping over as well as some electric companies are offering rebates

The are third party battery makers for this brand that works just as great at about 60% of the cost.
